“my partner & I went for a valentine meal Monday 13th february evening and also for my birthday (14th) Phil the chef who we have known for a long time allowed us to use the set val menu on the Monday. Food was lovely , the rack of lamb was cooked to perfection and my partners 12oz ribeye was brilliant. Thanks Phil and his lovely team. See u soon xx Paul & Zoe”

“Just had a lovely meal with family members, 14 in total. We prebooked 1pm, but the majority of our party were an hour late due to an over running pantomime. We kept the staff informed and they told us to relax and not worry. The table was booked after our booking for 4pm, so they said no problem as long as we can vacate the table by 3.45pm. The service was brilliant as was the quality of the food. These guys know how to treat customers and the chefs certainly know how to cook and present food. Well done to the owners and staff for a great experience. We will be back.”

“Dad & Son pint night. Sat under a large TV screen we enjoyed a pint, chat and kept an eye (almost inevitably) on the game. Monday night and the Fox was pretty busy with people enjoying their beer and watching the football. My son tells me this is a 'blokes' pub but it had good beers on and a lively atmosphere on our first visit. They obviously do food but we didn't eat, so beyond seeing a menu promo on the table, I can't comment.”

“Just back from lunch at the Red Lion at Broughton. What a difference! It’s now clean, welcoming and friendly with a very reasonable menu! There were 10 of us and we all enjoyed our meals. My battered Cod was excellent! Garden peas were good as were the chips. Unfortunately couldn’t eat them all! For dessert I had Honeycomb cheesecake with ice cream which was to die for! Nice lunch with friends and served by a lovely efficient waitress! We’ll definitely be repeating the experience soon!”

“Was served by Ellie, she took my order and was very efficient and polite, Making ordering food and drinks a breeze. Food was excellent, had the breakfast hash and the works bap, both cooked perfectly eggs done just how I like credit to the kitchen staff. Good idea doing breakfast from 11.00 am.”

“The staff were super friendly and helpful. We booked a table for 8 on a Saturday evening and got an online booking confirmation, somehow it didn’t show up properly in their system despite our confirmation but they managed to organise a table and were very polite and accommodating. The food is classic pub food but the portions are huge. Reasonably priced - I would go again, but I’d boom over the phone.”

“Our first visit for a meal since the refurbishment. Arrived at 5.15pm. Was already quite busy, but the welcome and initial service was excellent. Easy to order and the pies, in particular, were flavoursome and wholesome. Really enjoyable time. Thank you Spinney Hill.”
