Hertz Car Rental - Buffalo Niagara International Airport

"The absolute worst. Had a 6pm reservation. Still waiting to check in they have not had more than two people working at a time. Over two hours and still can't even check in yet. The one agent is ONLY taking gold customers. 12 in a row meanwhile everyone else is waiting including disabled and elderly. It is disgusting that they don't also help regular people. I will never rent from hertz again and I can't wait to tell this to everyone I know. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Total chaos. It was not about lack of cars..it was about lack of employees, communication and competence. Just yelling wait in line isn't helpful especially after 3 hours to finally get the car. Not waiting on a single non gold member for two hours is unacceptable. I don't accept your apology and yes you need to get new management at that location because leaving less than two employees to handle over 60 people just isn't right"

"I would never recommend this Hertz. We’ve been waiting in line for almost 2 hours. Within this time, the rep allowed people to continuously cut the line for “gold membership”. When another plane lands, the line grows and the gold members cut the line again. Two reps went to one rep as one of the workers clocked out with at least 30 people in the line. Who I assume is the manager kept walking back and forth but didn’t think to jump on a computer to move the line along. To top it off, then everyone at the counter LEAVES! What’s the point of a reservation?! Ridiculous experience as a first timer at BUF. Never again."

"I saw LOTS of bad reviews after I booked about long wait times and many other issues. We had zero issues during our rental. This may have been one of the busiest airport rental counters (for all companies) Ive seen in a long time. While the line was long the lady at the desk was moving everyone along quickly and was so incredibly pleasant, I wish I got her name. They didn't have the exact type of car ready but she worked to get us in something that worked as we didn't want to wait any longer. Upon exit we just ensured to get confirmation of gas being full and no additional charges after seeing some reviews saying they were charged for gas. All in all I think they are doing the best they can with the space and volume they are dealing with."

"Totally unacceptable service. After renting a car almost a month in advance through Priceline, I was informed the rental was through Hertz. There was not one customer service number that allowed me to speak to a representative. Now I am waiting for a vehicle at the Buffalo airport. There are immense lines & no cars are available. I was told there is a 45 min wait - cars are being cleaned! Priceline should hold them accountable!!"

"This was an absolutely horrible experience. After waiting over an hour for my vehicle, the gentleman in the photo (who gave me a fake name Julio/not wanting to give his real name) proceeded to give me the rudest customer service. He called me up the to counter, took my credit card to which it declined. Literally just used in the airport. Gave him another credit card, it declined. So I ask if he has my correct information, he rudely replied, "it doesn't matter". I asked a second time to make sure, this time he dismisses me to the lady (agent) standing next to him saying she needs to try on her system. The agent replies, "mine is the same as yours, there won't be anything different. She looked totally confused at his responses and actions. Then the rude "Julio" tells me to go to the Latino guy at the end opposite him. This gentleman was kind, asked for my billing zip code and my card was approved. This was the rudest customer service I have ever received anywhere. This person is a serious liability to your organization. I was there months ago he was rude then to but I let it slide because people have bad days, he's 2 for 2 in rudeness. Look at other reviews, show the consumer you care about how they are treated at this location, bad review after bad review mostly the same issue. Also, this rude guy put a plate pass on there, made him take it off. Let's see if your going to give me the templated response which is: " Hi, (customer name) . We’re very sorry to see that you didn’t have a 5-Star experience at our Hertz Car Rental location. We assure you this is definitely not our normal standard of service. We would appreciate the opportunity to review your concerns. …"
