"Fort Hill is an exceptional community with great neighbors, a kind, responsive on-site staff, and updated apartments. You can expect generous-sized rooms, decent closet space, a functional kitchen, and fairly nice finishes. The buildings are well maintained and cleaned regularly, and trash rooms are emptied and inspected often. For many, Fort Hill was a commuter's dream, with a regular shuttle provided Monday-Friday during both the morning and evening rush. Unfortunately, it was decided that the amenity will now end, and it is up to residents to find a new way to the train station. Good luck if you need more parking as it is severely limited to start and will cost you no matter your choice. Walking, while an option, is less than ideal as there are no sidewalks or lights on the hill between the city sidewalk and where the apartments begin. On the bright side, your calves & glutes will thank you after the 1.2-mile grind uphill when returning after your day at work. The onsite team is responsive to needs, though any major request or problem can take substantial time to address and fix. We have a leak during heavy downpours and have waited months for them to address the problem. We're told they may need a lift or a crane, and it doesn't seem to be a priority for management. So, in the meantime, we'll mop up our new water feature and hope there is no mold. We enjoy living here, all things aside and recognize with some key changes by management that our community would not only be better but safer and transit-friendly (again). Our suggestions: restore the shuttle, install a sidewalk with lights, and limit amenity access (gym & pool) to residents, not hotel guests."

"Fort Hill was our second GDC property that we rented, and it didn't disappoint. GDC is a top developer - Great and thoughtful design with very good taste. Jessica the property manager, is incredible and accommodating. She is really an amazing person to work with, and is good at what she does. Hard to find a property manager like her. All of the property staff is very friendly and pleasant to be around. Very nice apartments, grounds, and surrounding landscape. Walking your dog is easy, with the trails on the hill behind the building, or around the pond. It was always a really nice place to come back to after a long day of work. During the warmer months, the apartment balcony was a nice reprieve from any life stressors. Our apartment faced the hill where the trails are, and it gave you the feeling of being perched up in the middle of a forest with all of nature's soundtracks, particularly on a summer evening. Thank you GDC and Jessica, for all the good memories at Fort Hill!"

"We were a bit nervous, downsizing after 26 years from a 5 bedroom house to an apartment. We packed up what we thought would fit, sent some stuff to storage and got rid of the rest. Our apartment is sunny and bright, with huge closets and a spacious kitchen. We have views of the Hudson River and also get spectacular sunrises every morning. The common areas and amenities are very well maintained and still feel like they're new. The management office and maintenance staff are friendly and attentive. We love the location, with both downtown Peekskill and the riverfront a short walk away, and the hiking trails right behind the apartments have been a big hit with our dog. Having the Abbey Inn and Spa right next door is also a bonus. The restaurant, Apropos, is terrific (we've been heading there for happy hour and an early dinner every Thursday). We've only been here a couple of months, but couldn't be happier that we moved to Fort Hill Apartments."

"We are one of the first occupants in this beautiful luxury apartment complex. Jess was our first contact and when we met her she made us feel we were meant to be here. When we later met Samara, she only confirmed our feelings. Jess and Samara are two wonderful, caring young women who put a lot of effort into making this place feel like home. We love this place. With all the amenities we have here, the gorgeous pool with waterfalls, hiking trails, state of the art gym and beautiful club lounge to relax or entertain, It feels like we are living in a resort. The maintenance crew, Adam, Doug, and Anthony, make a good team in keeping this place in tip top shape and are very attentive to all our needs. They are always friendly and pleasant whenever we see them on the property. The cleaning girls, Lordes and Erica, are very meticulous in keeping our place nice and clean. They always greet you with a smile. All our neighbors, young and old, have made this community a great place to live."
