Blink Fitness Parkchester

"If you’re looking to get a good workout don’t come to this gym. It’s overcrowded and 60% of the people hold up the machines because they’re too busy playing with their phones. And then you have 10% who do a hundred reps on one machine. Oh and let’s not forget the weights left around the gym by the guest. Don’t bother coming here."

"Been going to Blink Fitness for over 5 years and this is by far my worst experience ever. No A/C, EXTREMELY crowded, and poor gym etiquette by guests. Good luck lining up for a bench or a squat rack, as they're essentially rented out for 25+ mins. I came here and there were no dumbbells on the rack, not even exaggerating. There were some benches surrounded by 5 different weight classes of dumbbells. I dont know what i expected though, the first red flag I saw was the gym entrance door downstairs was propped open by a 45 lb. So if even staff is using equipment to keep a door open, what can I say? Go to another Blink if possible."

"This gym is always packed no matter what time of the day I go. I’ve tried 6:30am, 7:30am, 10am, noon, and of course after work hours. No matter what, it’s jam packed. There’s no AC, I had an awkward experience with one of the trainers which was the cherry on top for me. The equipment is great but that’s if you get lucky to be able to use them due to the high volume. Some gyms have 2 of the same machines whereas this location has one of each, making it hard to get a turn. Due to the crowdedness, lack of air ventilation, strange people there, difficulty getting on a machine, it’s given me anxiety coming to this location. Glad I found a better gym to workout at."

"On Saturday, May 25, 2024, I arrived to Blink Parkchester at 6:50am. Unfortunately, the gym did not open on time. I waited until 8am and not one employee arrived to open. I was told by other members this is a very common issue and members have called corporate Blink and nothing is done. I left to run an errand and came back around 8:50am - still had not opened. There were about 30 members waiting at one point. As I was leaving, someone came to open, he did not bother to say good morning, sorry - nothing ! He looked like he just woke up and let in the lady that cleans. I had to go about my day but I have never been so disappointed and disgusted by Blink. I and other members pay for the gym to be open! What will be done to rectified this? Nothing again?"

"On today, 2/17 @ 7:30 a.m., Blink was closed. Members were lined up waiting on staff to report to work and provide customer service during inclement weather. Blink's operating hours show that they open on Saturdays at 7:00 am. This was not the case today. When I tried to call this location in Parkchester, no one answered the phone. Memebers were left standing outside beyond opening hours, and this is the utmost disrespect from Blink to those they serve. As a member myself, I will be in Tuesday to speak with someone in management about the lack of service provided during inclement weather. And what strategies you have to prevent these things from happening to your members in the future. Furthermore, please inform your staff that in customer service, members are addressed as Mr./Ms. Last name unless told otherwise. As a military member, I would like to discuss that in further detail as well with management. Thank you."
