Mangia Italian Restaurant

"My husband and I have gone to eat here twice and both times we had the luck is having Kaitlin (sorry if I misspelled it girly) as our server both times. Not only was she amazing but the food was perfect. Might just be our new special night restaurant. I deeply enjoyed that the food came at a reasonable time and that Kaitlin checked in on us a few times, not like in other restaurants where they’re either hawks and check in ever 3 minutes or barely check in at all. The whole experience was extremely balanced in a sense and very pleasant. The alcoholic drinks were pretty good too!"

"We have visited this restaurant on many occasions over the last two years and have always found it to be a great place to eat. We have brought many friends there with us and also recommended it to many people. This past Saturday, after we had been sitting for about 20 minutes with no drinks, etc. and the table next to us had already received their drinks and appetizers, I mentioned it to the waitress who became quite annoyed. She was waiting on a large group in the patio area. She then sent over a new waitress, who then scolded us for being unkind. At that point, I went to the front desk and relayed this incident to the owner who seemed to apologize. We then had our dinner, and when we were done, the new waitress again was very rude to us. Again, I commented that experience to the owner, who seemed unconcerned. This was our last visit to this restaurant. The couple that we had planned to meet that night had a similar experience about two weeks ago."

"I have gone to Mangia a couple of times and was never disappointed. The food and staff are truly the star of the restaurant! The ambience and scenery are very nice as well, just a little piece of Italy. Our server KT was like no other! I never felt forgotten, her personal recommendations were heartfelt, and the attention to details were amazing (e.g., labeling and dating the to-go boxes). Overall, great experience!"

"Used to live down the way and had fond memories of the restaurant. Visited tonight and was welcomed back with great food and service. KT made our night with her food recommendations and fun personality! Definitely ask her for her Parmesan pro-tip, it doesn’t disappoint! Definitely will make the trip back into town soon. "We found Mangia last year while in Cortland for a swim meet. It was amazing. The atmosphere, food and service were great. And the pictures on the walls reminded me of my grandparents I loved that! So this past weekend, while there for the swim meet, we stopped again. Again, it was really good food. Our server, KT, was amazing!! She was friendly and very full of energy. She joked with us, which was great. Our kids even went out to the car to get their own money to tip her extra because they liked her so much! Wonderful experience two years in a row. We will be back next July!!"
