"I’ll begin by saying that Mark Jupiter doesn’t need this review for their clients and prospective clients to know that their product is expertly designed and crafted. However, Mark Jupiter is much more than a custom furniture company. I recently had the pleasure of visiting MJ’s incredible showroom/workshop in DUMBO, (Brooklyn) and it brought back some of the best memories of my time living in NYC. I worked for Mark and Matt for about 1.5 years (2018-2020) and they were some of the most formative years of my early career - breaking into the world of true custom design and fabrication. What initially attracted me to work there were the people and culture. Everyone was welcoming and had no reservation to take a then novice (me) under their wing, sharing their incredible talents to collectively bring the quality of work up to the level that it was, and still is. They celebrate personal (and career) growth- providing opportunities for continued education for their employees. They recognize a job well done and provide constructive feedback when the situation calls for it. They support their local community and give back in meaningful, and impactful, ways. I concluded my time with MJ to join my family’s custom jewelry design and fabrication business in FL- Mark and Matt were incredibly supportive. MUCH of what I loved about working for Mark Jupiter, I now emulate in my own business. CULTURE IS EVERYTHING- and when you have good culture, the products and services are bound to reflect that. "7/27 at 1pm, on grand central parkway at the LIE. My dash cam captured their work truck (box truck) driving along the shoulder while everyone else waited in traffic. Not safe. Their employees just need to be re instructed."

"I believe Mark and his team deliver great products on the higher end of the furniture maker market. My wife did research and found his shop in Dumbo, Brooklyn in 2016. My wife has very good taste and I know she had done thorough research. So kudos to Mark on his fine work. My issue with the 2 stars is due to the type of business that Mark does. I was originally skeptical of spending a lot of money on a dining table like many New Yorkers (considering the nature of my business, the expected timeline to be in NYC, etc). Our table was purchased for about $5K. I believe Mark crossed the line when he encouraged and reassured me through the buying process that his shop does consignment. This means that if and when I decide to leave NYC, that I have the ability to bring in the dining table to his shop, have him and his team store and sell the piece, and receive money from the sale. When Mark told me he would not do cosignment, I went over to his store to get the low-down about if the employees there have seen cosignment done ever before. They replied, "they have never seen it in their store." I know I should not have been so naive during the process but I must admit that I did count on him to keep his word. The 2 stars is for his quality of work but I would really have given him 1 star for his moral ethics. Mark, please learn from these experiences and do not mislead and lie to your customers because in the end we are all you have."

"Mark Jupiter and his team make great furniture. We bought a $5000 redwood table made from a reclaimed Brooklyn water tower. We couldn't be happier.
