"Waiting for over thirty minutes with no communication from the staff. Something I was told would take 10-15 minutes is going to an hour. Would say finding a local pharmacy with people who actually care about u would be the thing to do."

"Unsure if this is the same pharmacy in Cheektowaga that does home delivery: I called after one of my prescriptions had been filled by my doctor without my approval (I'm a diabetic, prescriptions are very expensive). I received notification that the prescription had been filled and shipped, so I called to see if there was anyway I could cancel/return the order. I completely understand this is not the pharmacy's fault, and I am understanding there's nothing they can do. I spoke with a woman named Carol, and explained the situation. She spoke to me with an attitude, and informed me that it was my fault for "approving" the refill, when I didn't. I asked if there was anyway to return/refund this, and she very rudely said "I'm just going to send you to a manager" and put me on hold. The manager was super nice, and informed me I couldn't return the prescription. I'm not as upset about not being able to return the prescription, but upset that this is how Carol speaks to people."

"Fast and efficient just before the holiday. Had a lot of employees on to keep the line moving. I was very impressed."

"Went in to ensure my prescription would be filled before my doctor's visit and the cashier punched a few buttons and told me 20 minutes. Well she omitted to ask me which prescription I needed and proceeded to fill the wrong one. Only after getting the text that she screwed up did I have to go back to the counter and have the correct one be filled Where is the training where they ask the customer what they would like instead of playing guessing games. Now I have waited for OVER 30 minutes for a basic medication that should take 5 minutes. This location does not train staff well"

"I recently to Wegman’s Pharmacy located in Cheektowaga, New York. They are able to offer programs that combined with the drug vendor may offer discounts on certain trade name drugs that are extremely expensive. I am so grateful to be able to participate in one of the programs for a prescription that was going to cost over $500 with my insurance. Initially I spoke with Jansen pharmacy who makes the medication and then they took some information and transferred me over to Wegmans where I registered for one of the programs. They were very competent and they will continue to fill the prescription monthly for the six months that I need to take it. I was able to put a credit card on file with them so there won’t be much to do except to respond to a text every month as to whether I’m ready for my refill. There was a minor glitch with my first refill but one of the pharmacy techs in the specialty pharmacy whose name is Matthew was able to determine the problem and volunteered to send the medication out overnight. We think there was a glitch in the text communication. He provided awesome customer service very efficiently. Just wanted to post this as I always believe that excellent customer service should be recognized and a positive review on social media should follow. Thank you Wegmans and thank you Matthew!"
