Rumney Rattlesnake Campground - American Alpine Club
The Rumney Rattlesnake Campground, operated by the American Alpine Club, is located at 415 Buffalo Road in Rumney, New Hampshire. Situated on a 15-acre parcel near the Baker River and within walking distance of popular climbing spots at Rumney Rocks, this campground offers a communal setting where campers can set up their tents wherever they please. The campground features 16 communal fire rings and picnic tables for guests to share, as well as bunks for rent in the house which includes access to a communal kitchen, bathroom, and living room. Wi-Fi and outlets are available in both the house and the barn. Reservations are accepted starting March 1st, with the campground opening on April 19th and closing on November 3rd. Camping fees are $8 per person for members and $12 per person for non-members, while bunk rentals are $20 per person for members and $30 per person for non-members. The campground does not have traditional bathrooms, but a barn with facilities open to the public. The campground is a community gathering space, with communal fire pits for campfires and a designated parking area for guests. Well-behaved dogs are welcome at the campground, but must be restrained at all times. The campground is typically open from April to October, weather permitting.
