"Worst apartment I have ever had. No ac for almost 2 months in the summer, heat is overly to much in the winter, have to open windows with snow outside. Roach infested. Toilets broke, showers have holes in the ceiling. Smells awful, people leave their trash bags in the stairwell. Just overall disgusting, only move here if you are looking for a drug dealing trap house."

"Update. Staff have been leaving the roof door open causing the reinforced door to slam into the building where everyone can hear it, I keep contacting the property management, and the issue gets resolved but maintenance just does it again, this is a major health concern at least the high electromagnetic radiation is as it can cause one to get very irradiated to the point of death. If you choose to live here I strongly recommend a geiger counter and a hazmat suit for you and your whole family (photo in post) This place just keeps getting worse and worse, everything always keeps getting more and more run down, with all the mold, pests, poor management, a/c always broken, you are better off homeless than living here, but if you have to live here always make sure you have other places setup and your stay here is temporary. I never even wanted to go here anyway I wanted to go to hawthorn heights. Update my ceiling collapsed months back, (photo in post) and I was told that there would be a contractor that would come out, also that they would fix the debris, well after badgering them they finally did something, a temporary fix by screwing dry wall on (photo in post) but the contractor never came out, and they never fixed the debris, and not only that my carpet got wet and made the debris worse more reason to stay away maintenance won't help you regularly, it's only when it's convenient, to build false trust, when it's their job on the line, or after you pestered them about it, otherwise maintenance doesn't do anything, also one of the AC units caught fire in another apt in the building, and the fire dept. had to come out (photo in post), only showing more how the building needs to be condemned."

"I recently moved in and you can feel the love that compassion the managers are so nice and caring they go above and beyond to meet you where you're at and to help you not only move in but with any anxiety questions or concerns and I am so very grateful I thank God for this place and I think God for the amazing management that's here and the maintenance personnel."

"Loved Independence Towers until new company bought it 2 years ago. So sad how the building is in such disrepair. Maintenance is shameful & embarrassing. Management doesn't want to hear legitimate complaints & Bullies tenants that have a voice. Kicks good people out,moves trouble in ??? Shady extra utility bill ,with no accountability of usage & the only # to call is office manager. ??? Heat often not working in winter & often cooling isn't working in summer. Molding smelly carpets & registers. Leaking roof. Glass doors often have large cracks in them that aren't repaired for months at a time. The list could go on & on & on.... Once upon a time it was a good building. No longer the case :("
