Stoney Creek Hotel St. Joseph

"The problem with this hotel is that the managers decided to open their indoor, outdoor pool at 6am, kids allowed. And then open until 11pm. This affects the whole 3 floors that are facing the pool. The kids were really loud, at 6:15 am playing in the pool outside, running and screaming at each other. If the pool was completely indoors, it may not be a problem. I go to relax and maybe have some quiet time to at least not get woke up that way over and over again. With the kids being to run and be loud in the hallways, outside my door over and over and then the pool late at night and very early, unless I was on the other side of the hotel. The staff didn't seem to care when I asked them if they thought that was okay for an almost $150 a night hotel. They said the management made those rules. So I say, I'll my mind up to take my business somewhere else. The motel 6 right out the back from this hotel was quieter for way less money. And at least I might sleep better."

"The Stoney Creek was as I always expected clean comfortable, great service. Customer service at the desk and the bar was wonderful. My only complaint was the pool and hot tub area. There is no supervision and obviously the parents are no supervision a fight actually broke out in the hot tub and there were tons of kids screaming back and forth between the hot tub and the pool. The Stoney Creek that I go to in East Peoria Illinois does not allow kids in the hot tub that are under 14 also you have to have a wristband. I guess each Stoney Creek is different the service was great the pool and hot tub area not so good. That was the only reason for the three star because of the fight that broke out in the hot tub I was literally in the hot tub 5 minutes before that they were rolling around in that hot tub I definitely would have been hit"

"Nice little hotel. Rooms are very interesting. Western themed and clean. The only complaint I have is that the exhaust fan in the bathroom was a little loud other than that this is a great place, and I will definitely stay here again."

"What a sweet, cozy hotel. We ran into weather driving back to Nebraska from the MCI airport and did a quick search and found this reasonable option to stay at so we didn’t have to stress about icy roads. Wonderful gal answered the phone and confirmed they had room and would check us in when we got there. It was Christmas time so the charm of the lodge look and feel with Christmas decor was straight out of a movie. The room was very clean, a little dated, but was very comfortable. The breakfast (included) was good. It was your typical hotel breakfast - nothing amazing - but still a nice, convenient option. Overall, we really enjoyed this spot and the staff were very kind."

"Awesome place to book a stay. I had a flat tire and decided to stay in St. Joe since I was so far from home and I don't regret booking here at all. The ladies at the front were super nice and even helped me check in early. The room was quiet, clean and I felt pampered. The breakfast sausage and potatoes really hit the spot. I wish I could of tried the pool but I peered in and it looked awesome. Thank you so much for the pleasant stay when I was so stressed out!"
