Village Oaks Apartments

"This was a good place until a white neighbor (who works for the complex) called the police and said my car was to loud...well when the cops came out they deemed the neighbor was in the wrong and I just was moving my car and the cops told him to leave me alone, well the complex manager called and threatened us so I will be taking this to my lawyers today cause I have proof that not only are the works racist but the manager too...cause they singled out my car when there are 4 other loud cars but I'm the only black person that drives one.....if you're a minority stay away from this complex.....we will not be renewing....also let's not get on the condition and infestation of the complex...please stay away"

"If I could give them 0 I would so I recently did an application with Village Oaks got approved went to go to the apartment my boyfriend came with me because why would I go alone ?? So KELLY was very rude stated that it was my apartment as if my boyfriend couldn’t come with me which one isn’t his place to say anything like that at all , so I tried to pay the $200 holding fee/deposit and he said something about a link not working okay cool , so then I was given 8/5/22 to move in I get lights set up even signed a lease. On August 1st he calls and tells me my application fee wasn’t paid which was filled out almost 3 weeks ago which doesn’t make any sense because why would the application go through, okay cool he tells me to go to my bank I go and they tell me they never pulled the money it was a technical error from them not me because the money sitting there so on 8/4/22 he tells me straight yeah your not moving tomorrow like huh please explain to me how this is even right."

"Village Oaks apartments in Farmington hills is a Great place to call home. I have been a resident for over 4 years. The community is quiet and peaceful and many Tenants are friendly. It feels safe and secure living here. The landscaping is attractive in the summer and Snow removal is handled quickly in winter. Manager Sandra is very involved and takes a personal interest in her residents.She truly cares about the community and is very responsive to any issues and Concerns. I have only had a couple of minor maintenance issues In my apartment and they were resolved very quickly! The location is also great as it is centrally located near great shopping,restaurants and express ways. I love living here!"

"As far as apartment living goes, it was great for what it was. My only real issues were with neighbors themselves, not the actual apartment building or company. Sandy the property manager is definitely the highest selling point - she lives on site, is friendly and attentive and also coordinates a community garden for the tenants each spring/summer. There is adequate parking for guests too, which is nice."

"Don't waste your time or money here. They were very fast to take my money down for a deposit and give me a move in date, only to never reach out and give more specific details. Could not get ahold of them at all, and when move in day came, I still could not reach anyone here. Wasted money on an application fee and wasted alot of time loading all of my things in and out of cars. I talked to current residents and they said they didn't enjoy living here for a number of reason especially the leasing staff. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE"
