The adjoining pocket park is open daily for visitors to enjoy. The mill has a rich history dating back to the early 1600s when corn fields covered the cliffs of Scituate. Isaac Stedman, a tanner from England, played a significant role in the establishment of the mill, which later became known as the Stockbridge Mills. The mill continues to operate today, grinding corn for special events and offering tours to the public during open house dates.
