The Manager overheard my Aunt saying something wasn't right, he acted immediately (it wasn't the pub's mistake) & changed it for her. Everything tasted lovely & excellent value for money.”

“The bruschetta starter is very tasty. Surprised that it is only one piece but we split it in half to share between two of us. The mushroom tagliatelle pasta is exquisite, very creamy and filling. The tiramisu is very light. Again, a bigger portion was expected but it is still very nice. A great place to visit if you’re looking for some good quality food and nice service. Portion sizes are on the small side.”

“Needed to find somewhere to drink before a meal. Saw a small sign outside that said £4 Pilsner Urquell from a Beer Tank and 2-4-1 cocktails until 8pm (including Saturdays!), So we were intruiged to say the least. Went down the stairs and the cocktails on offer were really and surprisingly great. Great aesthetics in the venue too, seemed like it had good potential for an evening DJ set too, but we didn't stay long enough to find out. Very surprised this place isn't bustling on a Saturday, definitely worth checking out if you find yourself in the Northern Quarter.”

There is a seating area at the front for those sunny days. Recently been re -furbrished. A nice friendly atmosphere.”

“We booked in for my dads birthday after coming a few weeks ago. The manager was so good and he told us we could have the private dining area. The evening was brilliant. “Had my baby shower here in July and it was fantastic! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, they provided us with a buffet which was lovely and good value! The venue itself was great although there wasn't a function room for us to use, per se - they let us use the front half of the pub which led straight out into the beer garden/bowling green area for the party and used the other front area of the pub for the buffet, the amount of space was very ideal - the perfect size for a baby shower! I'd definitely recommend this venue, I'd probably use it again myself!!!”

Phone network was not good there (not their fault) which meant we ordered at the bar instead of the App - Which is quicker, easier and friendlier anyhow. Food was good, great value for money, another reviewer stated overpriced, this was £12 for a plateful of well cooked and tasty chicken. Some people expect 5 star hotel food and pub prices. All in all, a typical Pub, yes there may be some beer stains on the carpet or a lick of paint is needed somewhere, you just need to remember it is a pub, not a restaurant. And therefore has a much better atmosphere.”
