“New landlady and team. Friendly pub, welcoming atmosphere, great real ales, free juke box, Sky & BT sports, Wi-Fi, pool (on Wednesdays) quiz night Thursday and live events on a Saturday. Definitely the place to be.”

“Just had a lovely meal and a few cocktails. Food was excellent....I believe they have a new chef, staff very friendly and cocktails flowing. They have just expanded the cocktail menu so we've tried a few and they were delicious. Highly recommend a visit. Get in early as they stop serving food at 7pm....or just go for the cocktails.”

“The best pub in Knutsford no competition! Great beer, very english, great people both in front of and behind the bar. They also show all the major and some minor sporting events. All in all a brilliant pub!”

“Really great pub, we stayed here for a couple of nights, room Was really comfortable and clean,breakfast was really tasty, plenty on offer. Josh the barman was very good always remembering our order and really helpful. Nice one guys. Thank you.”

“Nice pub, our local but its one of our favourites in Hayfield. Friendly atmosphere, manager is hands on and available. food is basic and nothing too fancy but it's good and what you want after a long walk, roaring fire in the colder months and good service. Can't comment on the rooms as we're local to the venue.”

“Was really busy when we visited and the seating area is abit squashed but the food was amazing. I'd recommend you try the Turkish donner calzone and the nachos as it was just perfect.”

“Great food , the platter for one is excellent especially the chops and the kobedah style kebab much tastier than a normal one. We had this between two and also a chance chicken kebab for our two girls and an extra chips, hummus and there type of halloumi (not great) , we ordered extra bread which was a mistake as it was far too much which was partly down to the waiter telling us that should be fine. But we got one with the hummus so just one extra would have been fine not 3. The bread is delicious though. All in all a great meal we will be back just not as much bread next time. Plenty of food for us four. Beautiful building.”

“Live around the corner from this pizza takeaway. It's not been open long so tonight we had the pizza takeaway and a garlic bread. First off ,real home baked pizza dough, second was the box was bone dry,no dripping grease under the pizza which was absolutely beut. The choice of garlic bread and pizza toppings are amazing. All in all.10/10 from me. New owners should be proud.”

“Another 5* experience at the Grove today. I was able to speak to the wonderful chef Haz who adapted a dish to accommodate my husbands ( numerous) food allergies. My chicken flatbread was amazing too. Lovely welcoming staff. Really worth a visit.”

“Brilliant pub, quiet and peaceful, with a great history! Used to be a music hall back in the 1800's so has been there for a long time. If you want a quiet drink or catch the footie it's a great place to go. Also a great place to have meet ups and functions too! They have a nice little back room that our theatre company rehearses in from time to time and they are always very nice and accomodating! Seriously can't praise this place enough!”
