Marley and Fi
● Open“Anybody who loves their dog will appreciate how daunting it can sometimes be to go away and leave your dog. My dogs are my babies and so when it comes to going on holiday, I will only settle for the best care for them. Fiona is fantastic. From the first time when she came to visit my two dogs, it was clear to me that she loved them and was going to give them the care and attention which they need. My two love going and staying with Fiona and Marley. I am always kept updated with a text message and the occasional picture whilst I am away on holiday which takes away the stress of knowing that they are ok. I cannot recommend Fiona more highly- My dogs love her.”

The decor is welcoming and tasteful, the service friendly and cheerful and the food delicious! The menu was great and the drinks choice was plentiful. Cuppaccino Bistro
● ClosedFinney Lane, Heald Green, Cheadle SK8 3PT, United Kingdom“Went for breakfast brunch with my son. Excellent value for money, he had the Big Set Breakfast and I had the Skinny Breakfast and we both swapped out an item and replaced it with extra hash brown/poached egg, (which were poached to perfection). Felt covid safe, temperature taken on arrival, hand sanitizer, tables well spaced out. Will definitely go back, especially as they have breakfast and drinks loyalty cards.”

vietnamese potbellied
● Closed520 Wilbraham Road, Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester M21 9AW, United Kingdom“Vietnamese Potbellied is one of our local restaurants, and for the quality of the food, and the price you pay, you really can't go wrong! As the name suggests, it's a range of Vietnamese food - pho and ben hue making up the majority of the menu. Starters include things like salt & pepper prawns, chicken, tofu (pictured), spring and summer rolls. Importantly, the food is all fantastic. A favourite of mine is the s&p tofu and the Bun Bo Hue. Portions are extremely generous too - a starter and main would probably be more than enough for most people! The restaurant is also a mix of BYOB and has a license to sell alcohol as well. If you are able to BYOB, it makes a meal here extremely reasonable with the corkage (c. £4.50 I think). Recently, I visited with some family and for the 6 of us, the overall cost was £120, or £20 a head. Which is incredible value for a starter and main, given how good the food is! The atmosphere is also really lovely. It's nice and relaxed, the restaurant is family owned, and you are never rushed. Service is always really good, whenever we've visited. On Fridays and weekends you might want to book a bit in advance, but for weekdays you would probably be OK to walk in. All in all, great food, fab prices, just a really nice place to spend an evening!”

Millies Tea Rooms, Chocolatier and Bed & Breakfast
● Open“Rukiya and Beverley both provided amazing service. The minute we stepped foot, we felt very welcomed. They both took the time to explain the menu and ensured we were served in a timely manner despite it being a very busy Sunday afternoon and ordering as a large group of 6. As a Muslim, finding a halal place was important to us, everything meat based was halal! The food was very fresh and delicious. We were also served tasty hot drinks (e.g. Masala drink) - just what we needed after a long cold weekend hike. My favourite dessert was the cheese based scones with cream and chilli jam. Very accessible from the main hiking trails. I will definitely be coming back.”

The Sportsman Hyde
● Open57 Mottram Road, Hyde SK14 2NN, United Kingdom“The sportsman as seating inside and outside. Hard alcohol is sold here. The tapas menu is extensive, but the spicy meat balls and barbecue ribs cannot be beaten anywhere I ve been, abroad or here. The staff are friendly and professional. Parking is not a problem, but it is the car park for morrisons so times maybe a problem. I will keep going back if it's only for the tapas. There are plenty of ales on sale at very competitive prices. And a coal fire welcomes all visitors. Visited this public house many times. Staff friendly. Still a number of ales on sale. I have been here many times, the tapas is still the best around and the portions on most foods are huge. The staff are friendly and helpful, parking is a problem. Entrance is for all people. Prices are hugely competitive on alcohol and food.”

-
Kings Arms
● Open“Back to the way pubs used to be, there was a real sense of welcome on arrival, and also a lot of looks from the locals as I was a new face. I instantly got talking to the guy on the stool next to me followed by another local who also seemed keen to socialise. Quite a few in the big room watching football, a few people to the sides reading books and the papers. The fact its attached to a restaurant lends itself to staying for that extra drink, and taking a meal home to appease the wife! Really nice bar and environment, it's back to how pubs used to be, makes a really refreshing change.”
