From the pre-op, admin, nurses, HCA's, catering and the consultant (Mr Birzgalis) I felt so comfortable and informed the whole way through my journey. I was unfortunately re-admitted as an emergency due to swelling and query infection, but Spire were so quick to get me back in and provided me with top quality care to get me back on my feet! “I recently moved to this doctors practice when I moved to heaton Moor, and such a better practice. First off all the receptionists are always so friendly and helpful don’t make me feel intimidated like I’m making there job more stressful than it already is which made me feel welcome straight away. Every appointment I have made I have been seen to on time, never experienced long wait times ever. The doctors I have seen in this practice generally seem to care and take their time even though I’m sure they are so busy and stressed, they don’t want to give you a quick answer and then fob you off to see their next patient they see to all your questions and concerns in a kind way. There is one doctor in particular I don’t know his name yet, but one thing that made me really respect him and know he is a great doctor is, I made a appointment to talk about my hormonal acne and he gave me so many options that he thought would be a good option to deal with my issue, he understood my hopelessness of trying everything and was honest with me about all the options. He then proceeded to ask how my mental health was doing which no doctor has ever asked or checked up on with me after my recent diagnosis or new medications which I also understand with how busy and overworked our health care system is - he cared and took the time to explain my new medication how it works the scientific structure of it and if I needed any support with it which lifted me and made me trust in our doctors again specifically when it comes mental health.”

Given the horrendous pressure on the NHS, I feel lucky to be part of this practice and I have always either had an appointment in persson or spoken to staff over the phone. I hear people complain about GPs and chemists but the issue is never with them, it's the government. End of. “Lovely experience had 2 teeth removed and I'm extremely frightened of dentist as my dentist is a butcher with no people skills or patience, so got referred here for sedation although there was roughly a year waiting list for sedation, I didn't need the sedation they went at my speed and let me have a breather when needed. The dentist was patient and got the 2 enormous teeth out can't remember the dentist name as I was that scared when I first went in my mind was blank but shes the best also the lovely dental nurse who assisted her and also kept a big guy like me calm! I've still got to go back for 2 wisdom teeth removed and not one bit anxious as only the first needle hurts a little but it's over within 15 seconds Update just had 2 top wisdom teeth removed of Sheeba and Stacey didn't even feel most of the needles go in. She was really gentle and got both teeth out really quick with no messing around and no pain. Brilliant pair of people”

“Thank you so much .I put a repeat presentation in Monday . And had run out of tablets . But for some unreason when I went to pick them put it wasn’t ready ? I was really upset . Young man on reception was lovely friendly helpful And said he would try he’s best to get my tablets that day but more than likely it be next day . “Firstly, I cannot comphrehend how Whitley Road Surgery has bad reviews, I am in utter shock. From my only personal experience I have been at this surgery since I was born 27 years ago. As a frequent user of the doctors surgery, they have been nothing but gentle, professional and calm with myself. I want to thank Dr Gordon, Dr Myerscough, Dr Mansoor, they are all very lovely human beings, caring and you can tell by how they speak to you that they care deeply about their profession and helping others. This is important when working in a role like this dealing with peoples health. I also want to thank Karen and all those behind the reception desk, especially the young gentleman who goes out of his way to ensure you have everything in place and always gives a warm welcome. The online triage form is easy to use (I am dyslexic and if I ever have any problems I just ring up, always waiting under a minute for the phone to be answered. I appreciate Whitley road and all whom work there, I feel as if they deserve more recognition. I always go out of my way to ring up and leave good reviews on experiences with doctors. “Have been with this surgery for approximately 16 years and have generally been happy with the service provided. The GPs I have seen in that time have been friendly, give you adequate time at appointments and have been reassuring with any issues raised. The reception staff have always seemed friendly to me. The only difficulty for me is getting appointments outside of my working hours of 9 to 5.30 which means taking time off work for appointments. However, this is an observation rather than a complaint as I would be surprised if there are many surgeries open late”

“Wow, please please please could the reception staff train all other reception staff how to be so respectful, polite and friendly. I was sat in the waiting room for 2 hours and heard time after time the staff being kind, courteous and caring. Their attitude meant that patients felt heard, understood and most importantly weren't made to feel like an inconvenience (as is often my experience at our local doctors). “Having had 2 pair of hearing aids in the past, I decided I did not want to pay £3000+ again and asked my gp to go NHS. My referral gave me two choices , I chose Beacon medical group. I was assessed within 2 weeks and fitted with new hearing aids a week later. As I said despite paying privately in the past I almost always had a level of irritation which never really went away and that was the biggest disincentive to wearing hearing aids ! The NHS audiologist was quite thorough and although only time will tell , my hearing aids were comfortable right from the start ! I would recommend the Beacon med. services and my audiologist to anyone .”
