Church Inn
“Had my mums 80th party yesterday at the Church Inn. Can't speak highly enough, the staff were superb throughout the day, nothing was too much trouble at all, the buffet was top notch. Thanks guys, very much appreciated”
The Top Derby
“I was staying locally due to work and just stopped in for one drink. Feel I have to give a little more context...... Setting the scene..... Flash back to a very autumnal day in Manchester.. Let's call our heroine Emma 30ish blonde and beautiful. Calls in after a hard day's toil at the dream factory. Was greeted by the kindly bar serving folk dispencing brew fit for kings and Queens. I was set to leave when the jester walked in saying music and dancing would follow. Lady Emma danced and sang the night away. Even though she was unguarded Emma never once felt she was alone and was welcomed so much by the amazing folk of the Top Derby I felt I had to post this fitting tribute. X”
Bricklayers Arms
“Never had a bad experience in here, best local pub I've been to, and can't go wrong work £2.70 pints. All the staff are lovely, particularly Danielle and Christine! Looking forward to going again soon”
Old Three Crowns
“Another great night, went with a group from work and met some really nice people. Left after a few hours but went back. Made to feel really welcome.”
B&M Home Store with Garden Centre
“Great shop catering for most day to day needs for the home. A good selection of toys too, to help keep the grandkids happy.”
Woodford War Memorial Community Centre
“A great centre for functions be it large or small both inside and out.”
The Ainscow Hotel
“Decent location, not too fancy, but it does the job considering the price. If you're claustrophobic, please ensure that you do not book a room with the window. The location is great, 10 minutes walk to centre Manchester. The hotel is quiet, and the bar area is open 24/7. Worthwhile”
Samuel Alexander Building
“Magnificent building, part of the faculty of arts from the University of Manchester”
The New Gatehouse Bolton
“Lovely place you can be who want to be the real you staff are brilliant the customers friendly you can have a really good laugh with everyone”
Waterhead Park
“Definitely make this park a place to visit! It has something for everyone and all ages. There is a playing field for rugby and football, a skate park with a half pipe and ramps. The gardens and paths are maintained beautifully but the absolute highlight is the community hub that they have at Waterhead Park. There is a well stocked cafe with friendly staff who are eager to make you comfortable and well fed and watered. But the jewel in the crown in the "veg in the park" gardening experience where all are welcome and encouraged to lend a hand, they have raised beds, flowers and trees, vegetables and herbs and an enormous poly tunnel where potting and seeding can take place, rain or shine. Again, the volunteers and staff do their upmost to make you welcome and a keen to share their knowledge and experience with you. All in all, a wonderful park to visit. 100% recommend it to all.”
Nelson's Pit Visitor Centre
“great for walking .lots of paths . we go up to lyme park for spot of lunch .”
The Vimto Park
“Very cool Vimto sculpture/exhibit. Highly recommended for a short visit, but not someplace where you'd want to hang out for a while.”
George & Dragon
“Came today for the first time with my kids and my elderly grandad. Must say i was so impressed, the staff are very lovely and attentive. Really polite and great with the kids. The food was really really nice, kids had chicken nuggets, I have the chicken sandwich and my grandad had scampi and all of us finished our food and throughly enjoyed it. Then desert grandad had crumble and kids had brownies. And it was such a good price what I paid for 5 of us under £50 with food deserts and drinks was definitly value for money. We will definitely be returning again. Thank you for an enjoyable evening. See you all again soon”

The Happy House Chippy
“Best Chinese we have tastest in a while our new go to Chinese the chow Mein for me personally was the best and only chow mein I have enjoyed they had thin noodles and I would ask for the egg noodles to try next time but nothing wrong with the thin ones at all. The salt and pepper ribs where meaty and very flavoury again the best ones I have tasted The chips where good and the curry was also nice The thing that made the whole service 5 stars was the Chippy closed at 10pm we ordered for pick up at 10:55 and they stayed open till 10:10 which is fabulous customer service. Would definitely recommend thank you so much!!”

Old Pack Horse

The Dog & Partridge
“Traditional pub. Only had one quick drink. The pub had a few in it. Nice relaxed atmosphere. It's in Didbury Village near a lot of other bars and pubs. Maybe one to stop off, have a drink and check out, whilst bar hopping. Didn't notice menus, so not sure if they serve food. I will have to go back and check, lol, or Google it, but I'd prefer to go back... to be continued...”
The Queens
“Wonderful pub, really great beer garden, kids play area, good car park, very good beer, well kept. Fantastic staff, hard working, & very helpful. Great landlord, nice man, hard working and very funny. All in all, a great place to go for a quite drink, or a good night out...”
The Vulcan
“I gave it 5 stars because it is nostalgic to me. It was my Dads pub in the 60s, I seem to recall it was his second home. The first time I went in was my last day in school at Bishop Greer on Taylor st. I was promptly marched out. My last visit was in the 80s whilst on leave from the Army. I love the Vulcan but the locals used to call it "The Monkey".”
The Windmill
“Had a meal here yesterday and the food was outstanding. The starters of the meatballs was beautiful. Will definitely be visiting again! Thank you”
