“Pleasantly surprised to find this was a Samuel Smith's pub, so very cheap. Beer was very well kept. A very interesting building architecturally too - not your average pub. I did like their "Digital Detox" stance, which meant people were having actual conversations and not just sat looking at their phone!!”

“We went for the Sunday roast. The quality and quantity of the food was very good. While waiting for the mains we tried the whitebait and chilli chipolatas and they were amazing, indeed I think I'll be popping in for these starters and a beer more often. The service was also friendly, relaxed and professional.”

“Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Navigation Inn. Great food and choice of cask ales. Located a short walk along canal path to Whaley Bridge, and 3 miles along canal path to New Mills. Recommend lamb shank and beef hot pot with extra chunky fries which we had (see photos) ..No need for chips on the way home after that. Very warm and cosy traditional friendly atmosphere with low ceilings. Choice of 4 cask ales, including Timothy Taylor..See photos. B&B :- Four poster room very nice with new spacious ensuit shower. Stairs and landing work in progress re decorating but this didn't change our enjoyment in the slightest :) Breakfast amazing with all the usual choices cooked really well and any variation in menu not to much trouble. Will definitely return.”

A beautiful hotel with lovely decor and history; The room was well equipped and spacious. Breakfast was excellent and finished off the stay very well! Will definitely visit again.”

“only popped in for salt and pepper chips but service was fast & me and my friends all thought the food was amazing- they don't take card but that's not an issue as there's an ATM just down the street. Friend said the salt and pepper chips were better than at Wings (they were)”

“Best fish and chips I’ve had outside of going to a restaurant for a long time. We have an ‘award winning’ chippy closer to us but much prefer the Winton Bar. Freshly cooked fish, and you can order small fish which for me is more than enough. They lightly batter them on request and they’re cooked to perfection, nice crispy batter and lovely chips (2 small portions enough for 3 of us) not all hard and bitty like I’ve had elsewhere. Friendly staff too.”

“A varied menu to suit all tastes, from snacks through to full 3 course meals, all freshly cooked with superb ingredients. Can be very busy when they have business events on in the hotel, but choose the right time and it is easy getting served. Probably best to check first by ringing (and also ask for one of the window tables for the best views) Sit at one of the tables overlooking Piccadilly Gardens and enjoy wonderful food, and great views at the same time. The staff are very professional and extremely pleasant. Well worth a visit if you enjoy eating delicious food in a bright restaurant with excellent views.”

“Such good food, many good vegetarian and meat options, the veggie cold meze is lovely and the meat meze super tasty The mains are perfectly sized, the lamb (adana kebab) is cooked to perfection with the flavours seeping throughout the dish, the grilled chicken (pilic kebab) had the perfect charred flavour. The wait staff is so amazing and friendly, she was happy to explain any dish and suggest dishes as well Would definitely recommend if you want an authentic flavour”

“A gem of a place. I needed a stop off for a couple of hours whilst my car was being serviced. Great facilities for getting some work done, friendly staff, good food, I couldn't fault the coffee (well made, no burnt milk etc.) and the price point was great (too low IMO). Keep up the good work.”

“A F.R.I.E.N.D.S themed cafe. It's located inside Primark Manchester Piccadilly gardens outlet. Great coffee and snacks. Great vibes, decorations and music from the iconic TV show. The prices are great. The staff were friendly and fast. And they have the iconic couch from the show!!! I highly recommend it if you're a true F.R.I.E.N.D.S fan.”

“We were driving through Uppermill and stopped for a look around. We listened to the Brass band playing outside the Legion, popped into a few of the shops, bought some wares and on route back to the car park stepped into the Hare & Hounds. It was quieter than the other pubs we had passed, the combination of old look furniture and new look paint work still leaves the impression with a pleasant nostalgic feel to the past. The two female bar staff were lovely and friendly, as were the locals we spoke to. Very pleased we dropped in on a whim, I hasten to add the driver had a lime and soda. Look forward to dropping by again.”

“Had an amazing meal, but even more so we had amazing service. We was looked after by Laura and I must say her level of customer service is incredible. I’ve never felt so welcomed and made to feel appreciated as a customer. Would highly recommend this establishment based on the quality of food and extremely high level of customer service. Very satisfied experience.”
