“Great restaurant for a family meal! We decided to book a table for the night we arrived at a campsite close by since we knew we wouldn't want to cook after setting everything up. Food was excellent and perfect for sharing - me and my son had the hog Mac and cheese which was delicious , and the frickles were particularly awesome! Everything here seems to be generously sized and the desserts were amazing - definitely need to have frozen custard again!”

“Enjoy some Indian and Persian food at Ivory IndoPersian Hidden away on the edge of Stockport, Ivory IndoPersian provides a mixture of Indian and Persian food. Each type of cuisine has its own chef, so make sure you order off the menu that you prefer - don’t expect your asian spices on the Persian dishes. It was really busy when we visited, and at full capacity it may feel a little cramped. Don’t let that deter you from trying it out though. The Indian dishes were; \Pani Puri [£3.50] - This was spicy and yummy, with mashed potatoes inside. The tamarind sauce was really tasty \Ivory Indian Special [For 2 £30.00] - Big, juicy, crunchy prawns just the way we like it and with a proper tandoori taste. The meaty lamb chops were done exactly how you want it \Achari [£12.90] - This was such a good recommendation from one of the owners. Sweet yet spicy and filled with a mixture of spices - such a good lamb curry The Persian dishes were; \Mix Mezze [£7.50] - Included the cucumber yoghurt, a mixed salad, hummus and yoghurt. The cucumber yoghurt was refreshing, the yoghurt tasted like plain, greek yoghurt - think it was meant to be garlic and shallots but this didn’t come through. The indian naan bread that came with it was nice, but a Persian flatter bread would have been better \Ivory Persian Special [For 2 £37.00] - Same as the indian special, the lamb chops were pure meat! The chicken was juicy, the flat kebab a little dry and the other kobedas cooked nicely \Zereshk Polow & Chicken [£12.90] - A sweet taste, quite like rose and saffron providing that unusuality. A simple, unique dish that was really nice The sweetness for the end consisted of the list below. We were so full by this point that they gave us little tasters so we could see what they were like; \Gulab Jamun [£5] - Pure yum but imagine with a bit of ice cream, this would have been heavenly. The cardamom wasn’t overpowering at all, which was nice L\emon Cheesecake [£5.60] - A tangy, refreshing hit \Baklava [£7] - Pure sweet, syrupy baklava We’ll be back to try some more of the Persian goodies Recommended for: Curries, Indian, Persian Service: High Price: ££ Halal: Full Menu”

“Probably one of the best costa establishments I have been too. Let me start by saying that the staff are so friendly and nice. It’s a really chilled coffee shop, which is nice to come and grab a coffee and if you wanted many different cake selections. “An amazing pub, with great service and a really homely vibe. It is slightly on the expensive side, but it serves really decent food and had a nice warm fire to warm you up after a walk in the countryside. We had a couple of plates instead of main meals and this was a perfect amount of food. There’s a small short-stay car park just around the corner, and it’s not far from the train station.”

“Had a great meal at the Waterside tonight celebrating a 21st birthday. The pub was busy, had a great atmosphere and the food was great and very well presented, but what stood out was the fantastic service from the whole team serving us, with Vicky in particular doing a great job of not only looking after the whole table, but also paying attention to the youngest member of the group.”

“I’ve just had their beyond meat burger and it’s by far the best burger I’ve ever had! Not just vegan/vegetarian but any burger. It was so flavoursome and well presented. The chips were great too! Delivery was quick and I loved that the packaging didn’t include any plastic.”

“The pub has changed drastically with Danny and elaine taking over. The pub seems like it's being run properly and efficiently. The bar staff are lovely and friendly and the food is amazing , good priced beer and lovely people. My new local and I wouldn't go anywhere else at the moment.”
