"Loved it. Immediately attracted to the 1kg tray of chicken wings, which were fantastic. We also had the steak and ale pie, and fish and chips. Some of the best pub grub we've had. Everything was piping hot. What was very noticeable was the friendly staff and friendly atmosphere in this place. Will be going again..."

"Has had many ups and downs over the years. Currently on the up. Usually 5 or 6 real ales with a CAMRA discount. 10%. Good balance between food and drinks. Traditional pub food served at a good price and good standard. Friendly staff. Hard to avoid TV sport for those who are not interested. Love Polly!"
