“My husband and I often have brunch or lunch at Fig&Fennel and we love the food there. When deciding where to have my 30th birthday party a few people mentioned that Fig&Fennel do private events in the evening - wow wow wow! Lee was great! The food was absolutely fantastic - all my guests commented on the huge variety of food on the night and how delicious it all was. “We dropped by here for lunch arriving at 12 noon. Already this venue was popular but had plenty of seating to accommodate everyone. There were plenty of staff who were friendly knowledgable and created a good atmosphere. A real highlight from the kitchen was the Gluten Free Menu. It was extensive and included a gluten free version of the majority of the main menu. In addition to the GF menu there was a vegan menu and they also catered for those avoiding specific allergens. An excellent GF beer was also available. It was a real pleasure to eat & drink here and we will be visiting again soon.”

“Enjoy some Indian and Persian food at Ivory IndoPersian Hidden away on the edge of Stockport, Ivory IndoPersian provides a mixture of Indian and Persian food. Each type of cuisine has its own chef, so make sure you order off the menu that you prefer - don’t expect your asian spices on the Persian dishes. It was really busy when we visited, and at full capacity it may feel a little cramped. Don’t let that deter you from trying it out though. The Indian dishes were; \Pani Puri [£3.50] - This was spicy and yummy, with mashed potatoes inside. The tamarind sauce was really tasty \Ivory Indian Special [For 2 £30.00] - Big, juicy, crunchy prawns just the way we like it and with a proper tandoori taste. The meaty lamb chops were done exactly how you want it \Achari [£12.90] - This was such a good recommendation from one of the owners. Sweet yet spicy and filled with a mixture of spices - such a good lamb curry The Persian dishes were; \Mix Mezze [£7.50] - Included the cucumber yoghurt, a mixed salad, hummus and yoghurt. The cucumber yoghurt was refreshing, the yoghurt tasted like plain, greek yoghurt - think it was meant to be garlic and shallots but this didn’t come through. The indian naan bread that came with it was nice, but a Persian flatter bread would have been better \Ivory Persian Special [For 2 £37.00] - Same as the indian special, the lamb chops were pure meat! The chicken was juicy, the flat kebab a little dry and the other kobedas cooked nicely \Zereshk Polow & Chicken [£12.90] - A sweet taste, quite like rose and saffron providing that unusuality. A simple, unique dish that was really nice The sweetness for the end consisted of the list below. We were so full by this point that they gave us little tasters so we could see what they were like; \Gulab Jamun [£5] - Pure yum but imagine with a bit of ice cream, this would have been heavenly. The cardamom wasn’t overpowering at all, which was nice L\emon Cheesecake [£5.60] - A tangy, refreshing hit \Baklava [£7] - Pure sweet, syrupy baklava We’ll be back to try some more of the Persian goodies Recommended for: Curries, Indian, Persian Service: High Price: ££ Halal: Full Menu”

“We hosted our best friends baby shower here a few weeks ago and our experience was amazing! The staff here are really friendly and the manager was very helpful. We was able to use two rooms for a small fee which were beautifully decorated! Everyone had a great time. Will definitely book for more events in the future. Thankyou so much!”

It’s a really chilled coffee shop, which is nice to come and grab a coffee and if you wanted many different cake selections. Once again the staff members are so welcoming and that is probably the number one reasoning behind it being the best one I have been too.”

“Free parking for 4hrs, easy access for all - there are ramps, lifts and stairs. The Asda is close to town, so it's easy to access the town too. Situated in a lovely place by the canal, good for walks and lovely cafés, restaurants nearby.”

So pleased we did got the lunch specials 2 eggs 3,sausage chips and beans, and fish and chips the fish was about a good size well cooked and batter crisp had caramel apple Betty and custard and chocolate brownie for dessert with unlimited soft drinks bill was just over £20 excluding tips service was great. Cheaper than a takeaway and no washing up.”
