WWT London Wetland Centre
“Stunningly beautiful! My daughter went with the school and liked it so much that we went again at the weekend. It's really well taken care of and incredibly rewarding as a family. We will definitely look at membership.”
Mudchute Park and Farm
“Lovely city farm with an array of animals (donkeys, llamas, goats, pigs, sheep, cows, ducks and more). You can pet the animals. There is a nice cafe where you can get coffee, cakes, or full meals. Also, it's all dog friendly (on lead). Definitely worth visiting.”
Whipsnade Zoo
“A great day out for couples! Plenty of space for a picnic or for a rest in general during sunny and warm days in between of walking around. Plenty to see- you need at least 8h to be able to see everything properly. I would suggest leaving early. There's plenty of free parking. There’s an option to convert your ticket to a membership for a low fee and then you can get more for your money if you like going to Zoo more then once a year.”
Hobbledown Adventure Farm Park and Zoo
“This place is absolutely fantastic place for a kids and family. My boy is invited on a birthday party and he ad a fantastic time. It's a great outdoor and indoor activities for kids and family. A mini zoo and good food make the day amazing.”
Cassiobury Farm and Fishery
“I will always love this farm! Because it’s only open a handful of times a year and because it’s not in the most obvious of places it makes you feel like you’re in some sort of secret society and I love it. I love the fact you can buy feed for 50p and feed a great number of the animals in the farm yard. I also love the number of exotic animals they have for a farm in watford. They have raccoons, artic foxes and my favourites Capybara which is odd for a small farm in a city. I will continue to go to this farm every year for at least one of there open days and highly recommend it to anyone, old, young, family, couples, with young children and without. Everyone will love it.”
London Zoo Park
“Penguins of London zoo Very beautiful - chilled Unable to view feeding time Only one breed of penguin seen. Worth it if you adore penguins”
Battersea Park Children's Zoo
“Nice little zoo in the middle of London. Great place to spend a morning or afternoon with the kids. Nice enclosures with animals that all look well looked after, healthy and have enough living space. Also a big playground with swings, sandbox etc. And they sell coffee and ice cream, what else do you need!”
ZSL London Zoo
“Excellent place to visit with friends, family, kids, or even alone. There's a lot to see and to do so it's worthwhile to count on spending here at least 3-4 hours. The whole area of the zoo is well-kept, mostly accessible and easily walkable. There's a good availability of food, drink, restrooms, benches and other means for relaxation. The place can be easily visited and accessed both by car and public transportation. The staff was very friendly, engaging and shared a lot of useful and interesting information with us. It's definitely good value for money and a must see if you have the chance for visiting.”
London Marriott Hotel Regents Park
“I'd give service way more stars if I could! Location is in swanky Regents Park, so a little out of the way from Central London, but quick access to the tube on the Jubilee Line. I loved my stay here, the rooms were very clean with a deep soaking tub. They did a room refresh daily, so water, tea, coffee and biscuits were added each day. The lounge area was a hub for people, with a nice bar and restaurant. If traveling alone, you will definitely bump into people to chat if you want. Private members lounge was well staffed for breakfast, snacks and happy hour. Nice quiet place to relax after a long day or wait for someone. I felt very well taken care of and definitely recommend if not being in the center of everything is appealing.”
Hanwell Zoo
“Very cute place, I’d imagine lovely for family outing. It was a nice visit - Capybaras were here which is why we came. Wish the margay wasn’t in hiding but still - worthwhile and not expensive at all. Adult entry is only £4.50”
Yohoo and Friends
“The animals here look so good”
Footprints and Pawprints
“I've been thrilled to work with Sharon - she's looked after my 15 year old cat on a number of occasions, sometimes on short notice - which is hugely appreciated! She is friendly and clearly has a great enthusiasm and passion for animals and pets. It's great to have someone local to come to my property - much less disruption for my elderly cat than a cattery.”
Everything But Elephants
“Ollie has been such a wonderful help to me as I start returning to the office. My cockapoo Louis loves his regular walks. Ollie is reliable, kind and he takes such good care of Louis. I know Louis is in safe hands with Ollie. Thanks for everything!”
Penguins Palace
“Kelvin’s swimming lessons are excellent. My son was previously terrified of swimming and now loves it. It’s the only class that I never have to convince him to go to, he loves going & has learned so much so quickly. Fantastic”
Chelmsford Bunny Lodge
“Excellent boarding facilities. Lou is extremely knowledgeable and highly experienced in small animal care. She is a reliable and conscientious individual that will go above and beyond. Highly recommended!!”
Penguin Beach
“great design for the enclosure allows people to see the pegiun both on land and in water with total clarity. the animals are well looked after and members of staff are always available to give you a bit of insight into there care great place to visit and is right by the exit too”
South Weald Deer Enclosure
“Lovely open space with the woods, play area large duck pond and the Deer Enclosure. The Deer are close enough to see and feed at feeding chutes.”
Bocketts Farm Park
“Bocketts farm is a lovely day out for family especially with younger kids. I've been many times over the years particularly because it is one of the farms where you can get closer to the animals to feed them, rather than using those feeding tubes, which I know are safer but are less fun. There are lots of added activities for kids to enjoy such as the crafts corner, soft play and jungle gym, a big tractor and toy car area, bouncy castle, trampolines, go carts, sand pit, park and a bubble disco. They also still do the pig race which is great fun for everyone. We ate in the restaurant in the main entrance. I really enjoyed their mars bar cake. My friends had the ham and cheese toasties which also looked nice and juicy.”
Eagle Heights Wildlife Foundation
“We were visiting from Texas and my mother in law planned a trip here because my 7 year old son is obsessed with Birds of Prey. This was one of the most amazing experiences we had while in England and life long memories my son will have. The grounds are immaculately kept up, the birds and all animals are well taken care of. They have meerkats, pigs, goats, lambs, and huskies along with so many birds. The bird experience was amazing and watching their keepers explain in detail about each one made it incredibly fascinating. We will visit again in the future 1000%. There is a little playground on site and plenty of parking space available. Also the drive to the Eagle Heights is a breathtakingly beautiful one. Gorgeous views and it is close to a small little village like town.”
The Regent's Park
“What a great social open space, no cycles allowed. Nice wide footpaths. Sports being played, cricket, football and exercises everywhere you looked. Lots of sculptures and things to see, even managed to see the zoo through the trees and got a glimpse of a feeding camal”
Paradise Wildlife Park
“This turned out to be a really enjoyable day out. The staff were very very friendly, the Keepers knew their animals and were happy to tell you about them. Nothing was too much trouble. The park was clean and kept clean the animals were wonderful and so enjoyable to watch. I'd like to thank the young lady with the porcupines, forgive me I can't remember your name, and Dennis with the Lions. The Speedway museum is closed on Mondays ( the day I went) but the young lady managed to ask somebody to open it especially for me to look in it, as I had gone to see it and also the animals. I recommend Paradise very, very highly, enjoyable day out, the staff are well trained and I cannot speak more highly of them. The food was good and reasonably priced, again with very happy to help staff. I came away very happy with my day out.”
Hainault Forest Country Park
“I went for several walks in this forest, the trees and atmosphere is amazing. The autumn colours of trees were awesome. Very peaceful and beautiful place to go for a relaxing walk with family or friends.”
Essex Wildlife Trust, Bedfords Park Nature Discovery Centre
“Great park. Probably the best in the area to be honest. Long walks, great views and a real sense of being away from it all... even though it’s only 5 minutes away from the outskirts of Romford. Oh, plus the deer compound and the secret walled garden. Just to add to the allure!!! Update... they now have some new play equipment near the main car park. Fantastic!”
Wingham Wildlife Park
“It's amazing how well this place has come along since it's early beginnings as a bird park. I haven't been here for about 7yrs and the additions they have made and are making are excellent. Disabled access is probably one of the best we have experienced at a zoo, although more disabled parking would be beneficial. The play areas are excellent, the staff and keepers are friendly and knowledgeable they obviously love their work. Pricing may seem a tad high for a small zoo but you can literally spend a whole day here so overall it's actually reasonable. Go, you will enjoy it.”
Old MacDonald's Farm & Fun Park
“Took my 6 yo kid there, she really enjoyed her time there. There are lots of things to do for the kids, really nice playground, animals to see. We had lunch there too. She really had fun and wants to go again.”
