"Fabulous open spaces for walks and around the lake. Renovation works continue for the city farm and the barn which will be excellent when finished given how it looks now. Plenty of space in the second car park usually, toilets down by the cafe onsite near the first car park."
"Nice Park indeed and one where you can get lost amongst the rummage of nature. I do believe a late Summer afternoon here would be truly magical and the nearby refreshments area is a neat idea. A small petting zoo is under refurbishment at the moment but with the lake and ducks, it's a lovely place to come and be free for a few hours either by yourself or with the family."
"I had been looking forward to visiting this park just the same way I look forward to visiting Lake Dristrict cause of the amazing landscape and scenery, some day. Today, though, proved to me that if you are a city or town person who doesn't do well with mud, don't even bother. I actually thought the trails would at least be paved. I thought wrong. Oh, lawd, it was all muddy, and the worst part is the horse dung and dog poos litering the trails. I should have taken photos but I was too grossed out. Heaven knows these things make me cringe. Some dog owners are simply put, irresponsible, and anti-social. If we overlook all these negatives, it's actually a nice place to go on a nature walk by yourself or with friends. Great views and nice sculpted trees. There is parking as well. Apparently there is a Cafe 20 minutes down down the trail somewhere but I didn't even get that far. The sightings of mud and poo wouldn't let me. Had to turn back. At least now I can say I've been there and cross it off my list."
"I went for several walks in this forest, the trees and atmosphere is amazing. The autumn colours of trees were awesome. Very peaceful and beautiful place to go for a relaxing walk with family or friends."
"Great open space for picnics and loads of room for kids to run around. It’s a big plot so you are. It near others and have that privacy space too. Have to pay for parking but it’s worth it and not expensive. They usually have a little farm but closed for refurbishment when we went. They have toilets and also a shop for snacks / ice cream."
