“Beautiful central location elegant and definitely offers a high end of life feel. Large and spacious good for big groups, Close to public as a word of caution but private areas are available good experience would do again.”

“Lovely cottage style home with two wonderful groundskeepers. Has an open space with benches for meals and a well equipped kitchen, clean toilets and plenty of trails to explore around the area.”

“Lovely, green place and so close to London! Very nicely kept, clean, good facilities. BBQ and designated place for a camp fire, front porch allows you to sit outside even if it rains. Good area for shorter and not so short walks. Bell tents are great!”

“Arief stood out during my stay. He had the perfect balance of friendliness and professionalism. There were several staff/volunteers that cleaned my room. However, I knew that when Arief cleaned the room, it would be done to the highest standard. Additionally, I would like to commend the reception staff. They are always happy to help.”

“I stayed here for a week and had breakfast and dinner every day. included the photos the canteen is cleaned but the only thing is that the water fountain was broken so that’s a bit annoying other than that there’s for elevators or more in the building so it is really easy to go”

“Great value for price, conveniently located and unbeatable food/drinks deals at the pubs. Good breakfast with all the basics (toasts, ham, cheese slices, spreads, granola, yogurt, milk, instant coffee and tea). We’ll be back ;)”

“I’ve seen these pub / hostels before and for whatever reason didn’t think to stop in. My mum is in town and we went on a big tour today. She was tired of walking and this was on our way home from the tube station. First impression: the atmosphere was great, the burgers were great. Tons of variety (including more than 1 veggie option!) and of course the beer was nice. Will be back for another taste.”

“Great place to stay on a tight budget. Beautiful historic Oast House building, sensitively restored. Good facilities and friendly staff. Quiet location in lovely surroundings. Good number of parking spaces. Outdoor picnic area is particularly nice spot to get out on the lawn and enjoy the sunshine in summer. Reasonable options for purchasing evening meals and the option to use the self-catering kitchen which is well equipped and clean. Lounge with cosy sofa and easy chairs and a delightful wood burning stove!”

“I came here with some mates... the plan was to have half a pint and rush off a few minutes later, but we ended up staying here all night. Great place to come as a visitor and lovely people behind the bar”

“Everything was extremely clean, comfortable, friendly and well-organised. There has clearly been a lot of thought and care put into anti-covid precautions. Of course it's a lovely spot to stay, especially if, like us, you want to ride out from the door to enjoy the mountain bike trails on Holmbury and Pitch Hills.”
