“Absolutely the best coffee shop around. Food is great, there are always a selection of freshly homemade cakes and treats plus a couple of quality savory items to chose from. The coffee drinks are excellent, they rival any of the great independent coffee shops in central London. The best thing about this place is the way it feels. It’s only little (as the name says) but it has a warm, lovely, homey, authentic vibe. (In normal times) there’s always a rotating crowd of people at the tables inside and outside, chatting and enjoying their neighborhood. When I moved to the area I found it hard to get know people but I always felt welcome here, wound up meeting the owners and lots of other patrons and got to learn a little more about the area thanks to the owners’ commitment to engaging with the wider community. Although they have been delivery only for the Covid period the tasty treats and warm vibes are still present. I can’t wait to be back in the shop again soon!”

Despite just 'dropping by' their Croydon offices I was welcomed by a very pleasant young lady and had only to wait a very short while to be seen by Nick Sharp, Sales Manager. He very quickly grasped my requirements and gave me excellent practical advice based on his experience. At all times I felt that he was just giving 'best advice' and not selling. Nick transferred my plan and requirements onto his dedicated computer program making it easier for him to compile my order and it transpired, his subsequent print out provided me with a valuable aid to completing the job in hand. The pedestal support system is an excellent product, my order was very well packaged and marked and delivered exactly on time. I could not speak highly enough of excellent service and product.”

The website is way to navigate and it’s very clear how to make substitutions for any toppings if you have allergies, etc - my friend was very impressed. “I contacted Black Orchid to arrange a casket display for my Mum's funeral. I had not been impressed with another company & took in some images of what I had in mind - natural looking with a range of country flowers. They took the ideas and produced an absolutely beautiful , subtle display that was exactly right. And their manner was gentle and helpful - just what was needed at a difficult time. I also had some Interflora deliveries from them and they were all stunning with very high quality flowers throughout. Highly recommended x”
