My friend had some delicious chicken wings when we visited and I'm looking forward to visiting again for the £1.50 Oysters on Tuesdays.”

Maple Leaf
● Open“Unfortunately the grill was down, but nice, casual place. Bartenders didn’t make you wait and made good recommendations. Located in a great part of London. However, it’s very difficult to find a strong beer in London, which is quite odd.”

Old Bengal Bar
● Open“Beautiful spot! But get there on time for dinner or you’ll be stuck at the bar having drinks only- which is actually a good time because they have a DJ so the bar area doubles up as a dance floor. The staff are lovely and guests are super friendly- you may end up on the dance floor having a good time with strangers, which is always a fun!”

The Pommelers Rest - JD Wetherspoon
● Open“We walked to this pub that was on the corner next to our hotel. We liked it so much we ate there again the next night. From the security at the door, who dismayed a great sense of humor, to the bartender who took our order, it was a great experience both nights. I highly recommend them!”

The Bridge Inn
● Open“A good place to rest, if you are travelling on public transportation; both bus and train stops are very close. Rooms are charmingly old, there is a good atmosphere of old travelling culture, staying upstairs of a public house. Room, toilets and showers are well equipped, clean and functioning. Personnel is helpful and lager is near. Food is available as well at the Thai restaurant in same premises. And a special thank goes to Helen, who has the spirit of making her job with a heart, skill and commitment.”

Derby Arms Epsom
● OpenEpsom KT18 5LE, United Kingdom“Went for Sunday roast and it was very nice. I had the lettuce bacon and avocado salad as a main and there was plenty of it, it was delicious and I’d come back just for this salad. My other half had the chicken roast and he said it was really good. We also had all the side dishes to the roast: also very good! I recommend the Douro if you like a rich red wine, very good value. The staff was really good too, especially as it was very busy as we came in at 4.30pm. They deserve the 5 stars as far as I’m concerned.”

The Delhi Brasserie
● Open“AMAZING FOOD. I went there yesterday with a friend from US. It was one of the most authentic desi food I’ve ever tried in London. Everything was lovely. I got Lamb Biryani that was lovely just like the one you get in Pakistan then I had Chicken Korai curry which was great too accompanied with Parata and Garlic naan. Everything was on point including the spice. The only thing I felt was the quantity compared to the price but 10/10 Definitely going back.”

Chai Ki
● Open“Another fantastic meal at Chai Ki. Been here a few times now and it has never been less than a 10/10. Every dish was well presented and tasted even better. Paprika podi fries were stunning as was the lamb curry dish. Also, they had the best calamari dish I have ever had. Cannot wait to go again!”

Cheeky Chicos Blackfriars
● Open“We were in London for a family holiday. Staying at the nearby Premier Inn, I was looking for a nearby restaurant for dinner with the family. This was within walking distance and had good reviews. So decided to book the table at this restaurant. But we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was small but the décor was giving a feel of Mexico. The service was great and fantastic aromas filled the air. When the food started to arrive, we were highly impressed. It rekindled our taste buds. The cocktails and drinks were also amazing. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommended.”

Fantasia Grill House
● Open“Delicious Greek food and very friendly service. We spend five days in London and we tried different restaurants in the area and Fantasia was the absolute winner so we decided to come back a second time and we were happy with the decision. Everything we tried from Mixed Kekab, Chicken Soup, Spanakopita, Dolmas, Fantasia Chicken, Fantasia Lamb, Spinach Bowl Lamb (my favorite), Greek salad and Baklava, everything was delicious. We tried Greek food in many places (churches, Greek festivals, restaurants in California) and this was among the best Greek food we ever tasted (I particularly enjoyed the Fantasia Lamb and the Spinach Lamb that are hard to find on other menus). The service was also super friendly.”

Amazing place with no tourists (like myself). Got a true experience of what locals do. Plus they weren’t serving food at the time I got there, but they suggested the Chinese across the road and allowed us to bring it in and drink while ate the food.”

The Botwell Inn - JD Wetherspoon
● Open“A lovely pub with a slightly more modern feel than your average spoons. Standard seating options available with seating out the front as well and picnic benches out the back (there is also a small covered area out the back). In fact there is a very colourful stained glass thingy on the ceiling just before you go out the back - just in case you're interested in that sort of thing. The staff were friendly and cheerful and the breakfast (with eggs) was as good as always. I did hang around after my late breakfast and the Guinness was excellent.”
-
Estcourt Tavern
● Open“Great pub, wonderful atmosphere. Really enjoyed the beer garden. The male barman with the beard and spiky hair was very entertaining and very knowledgeable on his ciders (I think his names began with a T, can't quite remember). The lady bartender with the tattoos was also a joy to be served by. All in all will recommend to friends and family when I come back to Watford next.”
-
Barmy Arms
● Open“This pub was a disappointment just after Covid....but as part of the Greene King chain, it was subject to the brand insistence of downloading the app and booking. The beauty of this space is location. Whatever the time of year, the views over to Eel Pie are stunning and part of the joys of Twickenham. It it here, and The Green that make this environment. The rest is distinctly chavvy and/or smug. Here....just enjoy the beauty.”

It's such good value here and the best thing is it's lovely and warm too. We can stay as long as we like without feeling we ought to go. Its ideal for us.”
