Spirit of Shenfield
“Lovely shop with many unique pieces. A real treasure trove of homeware, art and soft furnishings. I have purchased 2 clocks from Spirit and had many compliments from people who have seen them hanging in my home. The staff are friendly and helpful, even offering free local delivery, and each of my items came gift wrapped. Perfect!”
Banstead Vintners - Independent Wine Merchants - Wine, Champagne, Craft Beers, Ciders & Spirits
“Banstead Vintners is a superb, independent wine merchant. They are invariably friendly and happy to talk you through your purchases, respectful of budget, and never try to up-sell. Their knowledge is second to none as well, and will guide you well if you give them a little idea of your tastes. A superb business.”
1905 London
“Amazing new restaurant in the heart of London! Great atmosphere and above all fantastic flavours bringing back beautiful memories from back home. Visited with a colleague after work to see for ourselves what is the hype with 1905 London and now we see why. Everything we tried from the Dakos, Gamopilafo and cocktails were exceptional There is also an extra area in the basement which is great for private dining bookings or celebrations Will definitely be back to try the brunch menu which is a must according to the staff”
The Hangar Welling
“Had a lovely evening here for a work due for 25 people, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, relaxing atmosphere and a lovely area out back with a pool table. A lovely hidden gem in welling high street”
The Cinema in The Power Station
“An absolutely thrilling experience viewing a re-run of Top Gun Maverick in Dolby Cinema. I believe it’s the first independent Dolby Cinema site in the world! Amazing. The venue has the privilege of being located inside the wonderfully restored Battersea Power Station. I have visited their boutique cinema in the Arches at the complex and I have always been a fan of their cinemas but the newly opened Dolby Cinema is pure magic. The sound is absolutely out of this world and the picture is stunning. I can compare this to the Dolby Cinema Odeon in Leicester Square and this venue beats it hands down. Far better seats ensuring a brilliant view even for shorter customers. Amazingly dark so you can really experience the contrast visually and totally immersive and clean sound that makes you feel the audio but doesn't deafen you. Five out of five stars seems stingy to be honest. I just wish I could give it more. I left this beautiful venue last night with a grin on my face! We will be seeing Avatar in 3D tomorrow. Bring it on!”
Grill Shack and Tiki Bar London
“This is one of the best Haitian Food restaurants I have been to anywhere including in Haiti. PERIOD! The beautiful dinning room and bar really set the stage for what is to come. The drinks are excellent and top quality (try the rhum punch or the 15-year Barbancourt). The Haitian cuisine and presentation offered here is beyond amazing and beyond delectable. It should also be said the Anglophone Caribbean dishes on the menu are also very delicious. I have been here 4 times in the last two weeks and the wait staff has always been kind and responsive. Don't miss London's only and BEST Haitian Restaurant!”
Tomoka Spirits Boutique
“If you're after independent boutique gins, whiskey's and other spirits then this is the place to visit. There are regular tasting sessions and there's always something new on offer. The staff are knowledgeable and work closely with the small batch artisan producers.”
The Leigham Well
“Love this pub. My new local. Alex is fantastic. Proper pub, decent prices and always a warm welcome.”
Wishing Well Chingford
“Family run pub, cheapest pints in town. Very well run, very clean, fantastic rear beer garden, heated and tellies. Great for sports, a date or even a sing and dance on the weekend. All sprinkled with a touch of the Irish. Great pub.”
Globe Food & Wine London
“Amazing shop. Customer service with paji is amazing”
Pistachios In The Park Cafe - East Greenwich Pleasaunce
“What a hidden treasure. We live around here but this is our first time visiting. I just had what might be the best quiche I've ever had. It just melts in your mouth and makes feel at home. The salad was fresh and perfectly seasoned and salted. Can't wait to come back to try other items on the menu.”
The Wells Tavern
“The Wells Tavern is one of Hampstead's best gastro pubs offering all that is needed to be a neighbourhood favourite including a great location, outside seating with heaters and large canopies, good service, tasty food and two floors offering formal and informal dinning. The prices are on the high end when compared to other areas of town, but it is part of the "Hampstead premium". The ground floor is a traditional bar with tables, sofas and all around dog friendliness. The food menu includes plates of chorizo with red pepper and gherkins, cod fishcakes, burgers and grilled tuna steak. Tables outside are at a premium when the sun shines. The upstairs is made up of three small dining rooms, with a more formal menu and setting. The scallops (£14.50) part of the starter menu where fresh and full of flavour, while the ribeye steak (£29.50) was tasty. The portion of chips could be larger but they were perfectly cooked. The duck leg (£19.85) was cooked perfectly.A great spot for drinks, a quick bite to eat or a more formal meal if you do not mind the premium prices.”
Park Plaza County Hall London
“Love this hotel. Great staff. Good location for transport as it is within walking distance from Waterloo Tube and Mainline stations. The station has an M&S when you want a packed lunch. New street cafe at hotel has hot water bottles and heaters for the colder days. Short walk to St Thomas's hospital, London Eye, South Bank entertainment center and Westminster bridge.”
Holmes Hotel London
“Our family of 2 adults and 2 kids lived in this very nice hotel for three nights during March 2023. It is a very nice hotel, with overall nice rooms and very good service. We booked two rooms, one studio suite to serve as day-time room and sleeping accommodation and an additional standard room (a.k.a. "cozy room") to make sleeping for the four of us less crowded. The kids no longer want to share a sofa bed :) There is a significant difference in standard between the studio suite and the standard/cozy room. The studio suite is very nicely furnished, but the cozy room is quite sparsely furnished, and doesn't for instance have bedside lights. So it's rather sterile really. But it didn't matter to us since we spent daytime for the entire family in the studio suite. Recommendation if you want to stay here is to book an upgraded room.”

Holiday Inn London - Heathrow T5, an IHG Hotel
“Stayed here for a trip to Windsor and Legoland. Nice family room with all the amenities needed. Nice helpful staff. Good breakfast with plenty of variety. Kids loved it as the planes are REALLY low coming in to Heathrow and they got a good view sitting in the hotels restaurant.”
Greyhound Cafe London
“Very underrated place. One of my favourite places to eat out at, only discovered it 3 months ago and I’ve already been here quite a few times. Thai food is often inauthentic in London, but at Greyhound Cafe you will surely find the food to be authentic. Do not miss out on their Holy Basil Chilli Bomb, or their Drunken Seafood Noodles dishes. The staff are very friendly, however, sometimes it is difficult to get their attention when trying to call them over to our table.”
