The staff at the hotel and also the Beefeater are lovely, friendly and creates a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere with a local feeling, despite being in a heavily industrialised area. Very warm and welcoming and will stay again. The restaurant itself was closed but the bar was open and we were invited to use the bar area for ordering in a delivery, as were the other guests. It worked really well.”

“Rooms as always were clean and beds comfortable. Great thing is if you are an IHG member you can ask for a free late check-out which we got, that's such a relief. Standard breakfast served and ample parking space. It's next to the motorway and no issues with noise at all. Tiny recommendation would be about the bathroom sink - it was clogged with a few hair - something to be careful about next time.”

“All the staff are polite and always willing to assist. The negative reviews on here are nonsense, utter boulder dash. Especially the ones from people who are clearly illiterate - honestly, if you are going to complain and want to be taken seriously, correct spelling, punctuation and grammar are essential. (try the world wide web if you aren't sure what the last 3rd, 5th and 6th words meant!). It's a convenience store and nice people work there.”

“Very helpful and polite staff. Was very patient whilst assisting me in buying all the necessities for my son's current running marine and his new set up. Very impressed with the availability too. Selection of tropical fish, amphibians and reptiles as well as beautiful Marines and coral (various types from large to frags). Marine & tropical tanks, food (live, frozen & flakes) and accessories. Convenient parking on their drive. Was an hour drive but I think it was worth it.”

“Stayed here with work. Very clean accommodation. Very Friendly staff. Next to the lake and Lakeside shopping centre. Free on site car parking. Bargain priced food. 2 courses under £13. Happy hour on drinks in bar between 5 and 7. Brilliant value accommodation. Yes maybe a little short staffed but I was not in any rush. Its not marketed as a top class hotel so don't expect it. If you want that then book elsewhere. If you want basic, clean accommodation with friendly staff then book here. Will definitely stay again when in area. Brilliant value for money.”

“Love birds are my favourite, I went to buy Kent bird, recommend by friend of mine All the birds looked in great condition and all were kept clean and tidy. Price are acceptable , jay was very friendly and knowledgeable person, I will definitely recommend this place to friends and family.”

“I went to this Pharmacy today at 12:55 (they shut at 1) in a blind panic as I needed to collect my mums prescription which she couldn’t collect. I phoned them and explained the situation and they told me they will have it at the door waiting for me! I literally pulled up and they gave it to me even though they were closing! Fantastic service! Really lovely ladies in there this afternoon. Thank you so much I feel so relieved that my mum has her prescription now!”

“A great hotel for commuters and business travellers. Looking at the below reviews, i don’t feel they are a true reflection of what Fulwich is like. As a Graduate Building Surveyor who travels from Essex to Kent i stay in the Fulwich most weeks. My stay has always been pleasant. The rooms are spacious, fairly modern and with all amenities you would require. Rooms are regularly cleaned on daily basis and Lisa (landlady) is very welcoming and would always deal with any queries promptly. The location is great - only 15 mins walk to Dartford town centre and parking isn’t an issue as most streets are non- restrictive. The value for money is definitely a large factor here and for a hotel that is placed within excellent commuter infrastructure, the cleanliness, amenities and service - you couldn’t find anything remotely as good as Fulwich for the rates they charge. I love this historic property and have become a regular here (subject to their availability). In a summary, this place is a bargain and you would be stupid looking elsewhere for same value, because you won’t find it!”

“This Summer my wife and I had the pleasure of two short stays at the Black Horse Cottage B & B in Bean, Kent. The experience was very good indeed. The facilities are all very good, extremely clean and well kept by Kim. She also cooks the breakfasts, which are prepared to your liking. You can choose the full English or something less if you wish. It was very good value for the money and we hope to return. I would not hesitate to recommend this establishment to anybody.”
