JP's Cafe
“Great food at friendly prices ! Perfect for local catch-ups, hangover brekkie and trying to recreate that greasy spoon scene from Apprentice.”
Bare Brew
“This is by far the best brunch spot in wanstead. If not one of the best in London. The people are amazing and friendly, the coffee is outstanding, the food is truly incredible and value for money. If you find yourself looking for somewhere to go. Here is the place. Dogs welcome so never boring. Me and my partner are regulars here. Only advice is that it’s busy so you may have to wait outside for a table during busy times. If I can leave you with anything… the naans… just have one and you’ll be as convinced as I.”
The Garden Coffee Shop & Diner
“I often visit during the weekend when supporting young adults with autism the team are kind and supportive and very accommodating to what ever random food requests are made. The warm family welcome has made our young adults comfortable to order independently and to sit and eat. The food options are varied and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend for SEN families to visit for a meal and wander around the garden centre.”
Country House Earlsfield
“Had a brilliant time here on Saturday. Great staff, really friendly, top notch all round.”
The Plough
“This is definitely one of the nicest place I have been to. I have only been there for a meal twice, and can honestly say that I gave never been disappointed with the meals I had. The first time I went there I gad the roast lamb with vegetables, unfortunately when I got there yesterday the only option available was the roast beef, as the Lamb abd Chicken had all gone & boy oh boy! was I glad. The beef was cooked to absolute perfection by Ben (The Owner) I would suggest phoning at 12.00pm (when they open) or a day or two in advance if possible, to book a table , and get there early.. Ben and his staff are extremely pleasant, & can't do enough to make sure you enjoy your experience of eating at his Pub/Restaurant. I would definitely go again. My thanks to everyone at The Plough in Basted, Kent . Until the next time..”
The Prince of Wales
“Warm, welcoming and just a lovely atmosphere. The staff here are very friendly and professional. It is a family owned business so that makes it even better. I have some very fond memories of coming to this pub, I would highly recommend it to friends. Their roast dinners and burgers are really lovely too.”
La Provence

“Best chicken nuggets ever! Definitely try then for 6quid a Box. Pizza is always fresh, and their chicken burger is really nice and crunchy. Definitely a good shout for a quick lunch stop, or for a takeaway night”
Santa Maria Pizzeria Fitzrovia
“Absolutely delicious pizza. Had the chance to try several since we all took different ones and they tasted all great. It's affordable and the staff is really nice. I definitely recommend.”
Pizza Brixton
“Went on Christmas Eve and the device was incredible, a very friendly staff. The pizzas on the current chef's menu sounded delicious, hopefully some of them make their way onto the permanent menu. The lemon cake was also a standout, and I highly recommend it!”
500 Degrees Pizza Brixton
“Pizza is always good. But this place is a must try. The food is fresh, the service is wonderful and the owner goes out of his way to make sure you have a great experience.”
Pizzeria on the Green
“Such an amazing, cozy and welcoming place. We have been here for the first time and we are so pleased with everything : the food, the service, the atmosphere and the lovely staff. We tried few different starters and mains, everything was so tasty, well cooked and the tiramisu was by far the best I ever tried. We will definitely return and recommend to all our friends and family.”
Bistro Laz
“Three of us had lunch here last week. The chicken skewers and pizzas were all fresh and delicious. Even the chilli sauce was ‘home-made’. Service was warm and friendly. We will go back soon.”
Mamma Dough - Peckham
“Great pizzeria with a unique menu, quality ingredients and a classic feel. I have eaten here three times now in the past couple of weeks. Every time the food has been quick to arrive and so tasty!!! The menu is relatively small compared to large chain restaurants but it’s definitely a case of quality over quantity! The drinks menu has a couple of wines, local beers and non alcoholic options. Service has always been quick and with a smile. Overall would heartily recommend and would return!”
Pizza Pilgrims Shoreditch
“Second visit here and the pizza needless to say is superlative. 8 cheese pizza and macaroni deep fried balls were amazing. The Ichnuso unfiltered beer was pretty good too.”
Black Horse
“What a Gem of a place. Seemingly, in the middle of nowhere. Arrived by taxi from Uxbridge, booked a table prior to a evening's entertainment cabaret show at the local Memorial hall, "When we are Married". The Black Horse, is warm and inviting, we stopped though not long enough to get a drink as Franco the host ushered us through to the restaurant and upgraded our table seeing that we were quite burly lads. We took a prime table with surround views of the entire establishment. Was warm and cosy with the din of family and friends in full conversation and laughter. For aperitif we had a Negroni and my brother had a Aperol spritz and a bottle of white wine with the mains. I had a Slow cooked Pork belly with Savoy cabbage and dauphinoise and an additional dauphinoise, an absolutely and fabulous meal the entire meal was delightful. Will cherish the fabulous moments and foodie memories (yum-yum). Staff were very accommodating and Chef was as pretty as her food delicious. I wanted to stay, though sadly had to go.”
Bro's Barbecue
“Superb. Everything you want from a burger place. Friendly, clean and professional service. Food is great quality, will definitely be returning.”
Northwood Piazza
“I took my family here for my daughters 18th birthday dinner, the staff were very friendly and attentive, the food was great and reasonably priced, I am looking forward to visiting again.”
El Meson De Los Hermanos
“A cosy, nice restaurant. The menu is not very extensive but everybody, who's into Spanish cuisine, will find something nice for themselves. The food is just lovely! The staff are really friendly and well - mannered. I strongly advise that you pop into this restaurant. It's definitely money and time spent well.”
The Great Gurkhas
“Food was simply amazing. I've had Nepalese cuisine before but this was so much better, perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and very generous portions. Highly recommended.”
Cappadocia
“We visited on 11/2/23 Saturday late lunch 14:20 ish. There was a very warm welcome and a choice of seating for us and plenty more. The volume of customers was just right not too many and not empty despite the lateness of the time. I chose the Organic fillet of Salmon. Organic Salmon fillet pan fried in unsalted butter with crushed fresh herbs and white wine (optional), topped with roasted almond flakes served with sautéed spinach and roasted sweet potatoes. I didn’t recognise the sweet potatoes because they were white tasted just as good. It all tasted just as expected and I loved the sauce although I would have liked a little more. The salad had a lot of dressing so I would ask for no dressing next time. As we didn’t order a starter, we were offered some olives to keep us going as all the food is freshly cooked. My husband chose Adana Shoulder of lamb minced, blended with spices and herbs, char-grilled and served on lavash bread with bulgur, salad and sliced red onions. This was tasty but very spicy so he asked for a yogurt dip which made all the difference. (I don’t know it’s proper name). He also ordered chips which arrived (thermally) very hot. My only comment is that the plates could’ve been warm to keep the food warmer for longer. We don’t eat very quickly. The food came in good time. We didn’t have pudding as it was already a late lunch. A lovely complimentary square of sponge, soaked in something delicious like honey, arrived while we were waiting to pay. We had a lovely conversation with the waitress who was from Ukraine, and had been in the country several years. The menu is very extensive and each dish has a picture which is always helpful with such innovative looking food.”
The Plough Leatherhead
“Fantastic quality of food and ingredients and great service from the friendly staff. We are definitely coming back:)”
The King Stag
“A friendly , welcoming pub with good quality food and drinks. It's always busy without being hectic. Sunday Roast portions are very generous but the fish dishes are more modest. However the creamed spinach side dish is amazing!”
Strand Cafe
“Delicious food, strongly recommend, especially green curry and veg spring rolls.”
Village Charcoal Grill
“This is by far the BEST kebab house in Surrey. I’m genuinely impressed how fresh & succulent the food is always. Number One”
Salt And Plum
“Great atmosphere and food! I had a Trabzon pide and my mum had the cheese pide, both of which we recommend. The tulum cheese is delicious! Pide and starter is reasonably priced as a deal for ~£11. I haven't tried the breakfast yet as it is only available on weekends but the menu looks tasty! I do recommend you try this place especially if you love turkish food. Note that the tea is a bit pricey at £2 per teacup.”
Wallington Pizzeria
“Quite surprised with how good the pizza was. Go for the thin base, it's worth the extra £1.75!!! The dough is so light you won't feel as if you have just eaten a whole pizza. Super fresh and tasty ingredients and helpful staff too.”
Il Piccolo Villaggio
“Small, tucked away, authentic Italian restaurant located in the back streets of East Finchley. It came recommended to us and we were not let down when we visited. Great value, food and service and we liked the fact it was BYOB. We'll be sure to be back.”
