“They have been wonderful to us over the years. When I had my first baby I used to walk down the hill sit and have a glass of wine with the dog and baby. So warm and kind to me. Food is ace! Service is ace! I especially love the way they cook the lamb. Yum yum. We are loyal customers for life!!”

“Really fabulous food and service. We live opposite, and avoided this place for food (the beer has always been great) for ages. The food and service is now top gastro-pub standard. Chicken liver parfait with pickled watermelon (yes, pickled) is sublime. As is the wild mushrooms with Stilton on toast, topped with a runny-yolk duck egg. Mmmmm Sunday roast is, for me, all about very pink beef and sticky proper gravy (chef told me he makes his by roasting a whole carcass for 24 hours then stewing it for a further 12 hrs. So, a change in management, and/or chef, and this place is transformed. This will be our go-to for a loooong time. Keep up the great work folks!!!”

“We’ve lived in Richmond a long time and seen this pub under many different types of management. It has finally made it back into our must stop for a pint list. I’m a pub manager by trade so am enormously fussy about how clean the beer lines are, this pub is spot on. The staff only make it better. Thank you Jake for an enjoyable afternoon! Good products, great service, clean lines. What more could you want! I will definitely be coming back.”

“I really love their pizza and have been a regular customer since they opened the shop. The staff are nice and my order has always come to me quickly and was hot and fresh. The ingredients are high quality and delicious. I’ve told friends about it but thought I should write a review to let folks know. In Richmond they’re my go to for a nice night in. Update: I ordered again this evening and I messed up my order on a Deliveroo. I gave them a call and they looked after it without any issue. Really great service. Thanks guys!”

The burger was really really nice and very filling (two meat patties) and the Sticky Korean Fried Chicken was pretty good too even though I am not a big fan of peas in rice (it tasted much better than it looks). “Veganuary! Very slay. Absolutely love their vegan sausage rolls here, have been getting them for a long time and will for many years to come (god willing), and great hot choc. Perfect place for lunch and a coffee and extremely charming being nestled within one of the arches of the oldest bridge in London‼️ next to the beautiful Richmond riverside. Has an INCRED outdoor seating area which is absolutely stunning in all seasons - leafy and sunny in the shade in summer, beautiful orangy hues in the autumn, frosty and wintery in the winter…. They sometimes have fun activities in this space, like dancing on new years! (Was thoroughly disappointed I didn’t go to this one). Lovely spot for dogs and kids and very friendly staff! Hot tip - Love to come here to start off a walk down the Thames path to Chiswick bridge and back again. Lovely to sit by the edge of the wall and watch the people and boats go past…. Could sit here for hours (have done!) ☺️”

“New Years Eve afternoon. Party of six looking for somewhere suitable. Was greeted at One Kew Road by a lovely helpful lad, soon joined by Rachel. Rachel is a true gem. Her service was exceptional. We were so impressed how relaxed and capable she was. She gave us all an afternoon to remember. Compliments to the chef, food fantastic, good wines and beer selection. We shall all be back. “The hotel was great, it looked stunning, the staff were super friendly. The place had amazing lights, the shower had button that let you see through to the hotel room which was funny. We loved the pool and Sauna. They have parking which you have to pay for and the breakfast selection was incredibly tasty and a great selection. Anna was really kind to my daughters. “Hands down one of the best places I’ve been to eat out in Europe. The interior was really cozy and welcoming. The FOOD was ridiculously delicious. 100% recommend the lamb and pig head. Staff are just delightful. You can even speak to the chefs while they prepare your food right in front of you! A must do if you come past Hackney.”
