“I visited for a company meal and I was very impressed. When walking in, the arrival area and bar looked amazing. We were seated at a table by the large window looking into the kitchen. It was great to see the food being prepared and the chefs at work. All of the food we were served was very good. I had the calamari starter and the beyti kebab main. Both were fantastic and large sizes. I was not able to tackle a desert afterwards but all that were served looked very good. The staff were so attentive and helpful that it really made the whole experience one to remember. I would recommend this restaurant and will definitely return.”

“Cute place for a special date night went for dinner. They food was tasty,ample and beautifully presented. The drinks cocktail were very tasty. One thing to say they were accommodating and aware of my allergies. Only thing I would say for dinning in winter go for inside dinning.”

“The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The kitchen was closed but the chef overheard that we were 'starving' and she kindly offered to prepare whatever we wanted. The food was great! They have lovely outdoor seating which is well spaced out to maintain social distancing.”

“My wife and I have visited the Crown and Anchor on a few occasions since the new owners have taken over and always had a lovely time but have never sampled the food. On Saturday 1st October we booked lunch with 9 family members to get together for my dads birthday who we sadly lost 13 years ago. The food was out of this world, all home cooked. I had the cheese burger which I have to say was up there with the best I have ever had. Lasagna, pizzas, Halloumi burger and the liver and bacon were ordered (dads favourite, which my mum had and said was incredible, her words). Everyone said how amazing their food was. (Kids food was great too). The beers we ordered were perfect, these guys really do know what they are doing.m when it comes to pouring the perfect pint. Can’t rate and thank Wendy and her team highly enough. Nothing was too much, we really did feel like royalty. The tribute to dad was incredible. It was the perfect place to go with Wendy and her Husband Marco being Crystal Palace fans as so are we as a family. Wendy put a palace scarf on the table and put a pint there for dad. It’s these sort of touches that mean so much. We told them we would be bringing our German Shepherd with us and we couldn’t believe what they did, a lovely bed at the end of the table for him to chill in. We also ordered a lovely dinner for him which he really enjoyed. Such a lovely dog friendly pub. The play kids area is amazing, kept the little ones entertained for ages. Wendy even set up an art and craft table for the two little ones while we had our lunch as they had theirs first, again kept them entertained. She ended up being like the pied piper with all the kids in the pub following her around. She took them down to the river that runs along the back of the amazing garden to feed the ducks and swans. So way and above. Again, thank you so much guys for the most amazing afternoon, we really can’t thank you enough. I urge everyone to try this pub, you will not be disappointed. And lastly let’s not forget the barman (sorry, didn’t catch your name), amazing service, always remembered each round and couldn’t do enough for us. One last thing, The Crown and Anchor take food allergies really seriously, there are no nuts on the premises, so if any of you have an allergy, another reason to try this wonderful pub. Thanks again and we are really looking forward to seeing you soon.”

“Booked the Boaters for a work Christmas meal and couldn't have been happier with the evening. Staff were friendly, attentive, and accommodating. The food was excellent and the table had been decorated beautifully with crackers! We booked on a Tuesday evening and there was a quiz going on the other side of the pub but this didn't disturb us at all.”

“Had my birthday celebrations for a Sunday lunch with friends. We were 20 and hire the private room upstairs. Beautiful pub on the side of Camberwell road. The food was 5stars, very good and juicy roasts and starters. Great service received on the day, and also from Monica the manger that has helped me prior the day. Definitely recommend to pop in for a beer if you are in the area or as place to organizing special meals.”

“Had a lovely time at here. We booked inside as it was too hot outside. Really glad we did as there is not a lot of shade outside (!!) we were greeted with a warm welcome on arrival, shown to our table (we actually got to choose ourselves). Drinks ordered by another friendly staff member and shown the menus. On such a hot day we didn't want a main meal and thought we would graze on starters. Boy what a great idea! I can heartily recommend pork and black pudding sausage roll, chorizo scotch egg, triple cooked chips and the warm camonbear (forgive my spelling). The food and accompanying service was wonderful. In fact the food was so good I didn't have time to take photos as it was demolished in minutes. 3 of us spent an afternoon there with wine and spirits in an unhurried environment totally stuffed and well watered for £30/head well worth it. I took pictures of the menu as the only thing left :)”

“Best Sunday roast! I came a couple weeks ago and I’m back again today on Boxing Day. The atmosphere is great, staff are welcoming. It’s cozy here.. honestly love it. I also want to mention that I a vegetarian and the roast at this pub was absolutely delicious! 10 out of 10!!”
