“This was our first visit as we were just visiting the area for a few days. It was absolutely fantastic. The ambience of the place is amazing and the food is so delicious, fresh and authentically Lebanese/Arabic. The portions were very generous and we just could not stop eating. The bread was freshly baked and so tasty. Amazing service from the lovely staff Levi and Ali who were very welcoming and professional. A very special thanks to the chef, Hani. We wanted a couple of things changed on the dishes we had ordered and we did not mention this before until we were served with our food. However, the chef gladly accommodated this and brought back our dishes exactly like we wanted and with a smile. Couldn't have had a better meal. He even made a special dessert for us which was just so tasty and mouth watering that we ordered another portion to take away with us. Please make sure you add this to your menu? Highly recommend.”

“Lovely weekend lunch! The menu isn't extensive but there is enough choice and nobody felt they had to compromise. The kids menu was very good, plenty of options to cater for simpler and more adventurous tastes. The triple cooked chips, these days almost a pub cliché, are worthy of a special mention! Clean plates all around. What more can you ask for?”

“Perhaps the best Sunday roast I had in 8y living in the UK. I’ve been there with friends and I ordered the Jacob’s ladder to share. The meat was absolutely phenomenal, incredibly tasty and perfectly cooked (12h slow cook). Each vegetable served with meat (roast potato, carrot and butternut squash purée, etc) was flavourful as well as the Yorkshire pudding. The pub is very nice and it’s located just 5 min away from the old market square in Kingston. Friendly staff, reasonable prices”

“You sort of know what you're going to get with an O'Neill's, which is a good thing. I was very impressed here, the security was efficient and friendly. Although it was busy, there was a good atmosphere and the service was very quick. The fight was being shown on various screens around the pub, and although that's not my thing, the rest of the atmosphere was good. One of the better branches in the chain.”

“This is the second time that I have been to Kingston tenpin bowling in the last few months. I have to say this experience was 100% better than my last experience. I appreciated the level of respect I received and reassurance that this visit would be better. I have to say that the communication I had with the area manager gave me perspective and made me have better respect because he truly understood the meaning of customer service and customer loyalty. We also had food and I really would recommend the ultimate burger with the crispy fries. When you first look at it it looks like it's not going to taste very nice or have much flavour. But from the first bite to the last chip I enjoyed every single bite and I would definitely order it again.”

They absolutely look out for their patrons; their welfare and safety. It is nice to know as a parent that these clubs have protective policies in place. “A wonderful, authentic taste of Greece in our back yard. Home cooked food and you can almost taste the love in every bite. And yes, the moussaka was delicious. All of the starters were so tasty that I had barely had room for the main. The service was so personal and attentive. I will definitely be going back, and I have told anyone who will listen about the spinach pastry and cheese dip... I find myself having little daydream moments about it. Wonderful !”

“Called in for lunch yesterday & enjoyed delicious food (my partner had the loaded fries & I had a chickpea burger with fries) & drinks (I had a yummy but somewhat potent Singapore Sling!). Had a real buzz about it (despite the fact it wasn't that busy at 12) & the attention to detail from a decor perspective was great (lots of nods to music & even a skeleton!!). “I've featured my local Big Smoke pub before but on the rare occasion I found The Albion mostly empty, and serving the exceptional A&H London Black from the official glassware, I figured it was time to feature a review. I believe this was the second pub Big Smoke opened, building on the success of The Antelope in Surbiton. It's been here as long as I can remember, and at one stage had a Gin Distillery out the back which I think is now just garden seating (opted not to pap this, but there's a huge garden there with beer festivals held in the summer). Indoors, it's familiar to those who know the chain. Wooden panelling, ample seating, vinyl soundtracked vibe, 10+ ales and ciders, a multitude of keg offerings too including 2 AF options in the form of Lucky Saint and their own AF beer which has gone down well over the past month. You get a mixture of students, weekend shoppers, families and real ale folk in here, it's a nice melting pot of booze enthusiasts and those looking for a pub not surrounded by Vape Shops, a step away from the town centre, outside of the rampant demolition you see taking over Kingston. It's sort of a home away from home, despite only being some 15-20 minutes down the road from me, a chain familiarity but still less polished than those brand new Big Smoke pubs you spot in greater London. With time to kill it can be a quiet respite from the hustle and bustle of town, but with Rugby on and one of the few spacious family friendly pubs in the area it can get quite hectic. A nice problem to have for Big Smoke. Food again is similar to the other sites, a sort of BBQ meets pub grub style, with plenty of bits in-between to choose from. See the place pack out for weekends with roasts on, and various offers during the week. The pub dates back to 1845, little known about its history other than it was advertised as a sort of taproom with a view to watch the recreational sports on the green. Once Greene King, now Big Smoke, another one saved from mediocrity.”

“Great bar! The staff were amazing, friendly and fun! Great choices of drinks including rattler in bottles which I was sooo happy about! The jukebox is awesome full of all rock metal and lots of other music! Pool table is good and a nice function room. Not the biggest place but had lots of fun.”
