“Lovely comfy room (we had twin). Not plush, but comfy. Slept well. Spacious en suite. Lovely& clean. We hope to return. So lovely! Good breakfast menu. Lovely friendly staff, very attentive. A good old pub/inn with lovely inglenook fireplace. Didn't want to leave & return to reality.”

“We had a fantastic stay. We used it as a base to visit the Harry Potter studio tour which was only a ten minute drive away. The hotel was beautiful and clean and staff very helpful. The room was kitted out with a little fridge so my youngest could have her yoghurt in the morning. Breakfast staff very accommodating to my 2 excited children and because it was my sons birthday we even got an extra treat in our room and a birthday card for him which made his day. Short walk to town centre and Watford train station so will come again for London trip next year!”

“Another great family meal on Saturday evening. We managed to book one of the last tables as they were fully booked. Despite being rushed off their feet the team were very welcoming. The Spaghetti Nerone (fresh octopus and prawns sautéed with olive oil, white wine and cherry tomatoes, tossed with black cuttlefish ink spaghetti) was amazing!”

“Every time we visit Potters Bar to see family we nip in for a meal. Amazing food for us. My daughter loves it too and she’s a fussy mare so it must be good :) staff are lovely and welcoming. It’s always good to go back!”

“Ibis hotels are generally very good. This one is. As a single female traveller I get everything safely under one roof. Very clean, comfortable, nice staff Dog friendly. I didn't like this area very much and didn't venture far, but felt very safe in the hotel.”

“Easy access from the motorway, and very affordable room rates. Rooms were comfortable, well maintained and clean. Only minor complaint was we only got a single bath towel for a double room, but likely just minor oversight - the others in our party had plenty in their room. Breakfast plentiful and good quality. The staff were lovely!”

“I went for a festive meal with friends and I was impressed with how succulent the turkey was. We chose as it because it had some of the better vegetarian options for my friend. You couldn't fault the price either, we did main and dessert and we were all happy with our meals. I would recommend heading there for a festive meal. One thing that did frustrate me was all the messages about cancelling my reservation and yet when I got there, there was no reservation to be found!”

“Really excited to see My Muki Sushi opening in Potters Bar. Have tried the Bento Box (with salmon sushi) twice and loved it! Also picked up ingredients and helpful instructions from proprietor Jo Hiwatashi and have now made my own simple miso soup at home!”

“I get my Kebabs from here most Friday nights. They are truly authentic Cypriot Souvlaki kebabs and pretty much the best you'll find for miles. They are cooked on charcoal which is the how it should be. The portions are good at a fair price, so good value for money. Lots of other things on the menu too. Service is great”

“Best Italian I've been to in the UK. Food was really exceptional tasty hot and plentiful, we really couldn't fault it. Happy to be served by a happy helpful Anna was so refreshing, she was very efficient. I thoroughly recommend this place for food, staff, atmosphere and a nicely decorated and very clean place. I bet its lovely in the garden on a sunny day too. We wished we lived nearer. Glad we booked as it soon filled up within 15 minutes of us arriving.”

“Went with my son Alex, got a Halloumi sandwich and a halloumi and Lountza sandwich with 2 frappe. All tasted great, people inside were friendly and engaging. As a takeaway I got 2 spanakopita, they too were great, were meant to be for lunch the next day but couldn't resist. Both my son and I enjoyed eating there and will definitely return”

“Such a lovely friendly pub. Staff are extremely helpful and service is impeccable. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch today from a very generous menu and will return again very soon. They also have a wonderful comfortable beer garden and plenty of parking. Most definitely recommend this place!!”

“Fantastic food prepared by Chef Alex. A husband and wife owned concern that offers a unique dining experience. What helps is that there is local car parking which only helps expedite your taste buds. Do not delay your visit, aided by a white table cloth environment. CHEERS!”

“We dropped in as a last minute decision after googling pubs to eat at in the area and it was excellent! They were very busy as we expected for a Friday night but were happy to accommodate us and we will definitely be back! The onion rings were the best my partner has ever had, alongside the burger which was so tasty and my venison pie was delicious and hearty. Definitely recommend!”

“I am leaving 5 stars as I have been using pizza gogo since they opened in Potters bar, never had a problem always perfect. But unfortunately tonight think they only showed the oven my pizza. I had to put it in the oven to cook further and was not cooked. My chicken could of done with done sauce on it again was just shown the bottle of sauce. I'm sure this is a one off. But very disappointing.”

“We recently had a very comfortable 2 night stay at this pub/hotel. Tfood was excellent and reasonably priced. Our room was well appointed and comfortable, The location was excellent in a quiet and very pretty Village but with easy access to the M25 and surrounding areas.”

“Ive stayed here several times and it has always been good. This last time was excellent. The staff, especially a chap called Martin, looked after us so well. Dinner was really very good indeed, the beer was almost as good as a pint from the North and the rooms clean, cosy and comfortable. Thank you.”

“What can I say, the place was very clean and tidy, including the toilet area, though a bit small... The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the service was excellent... The food was gorgeous, very tasty and cooked to perfection, can't say that about most pubs nowadays. Portion size was just on the size of big. The only thing that was a bit odd is that they served the fish and chips on a plate with like a newspaper sheet on it.. Apart from that 5 stars.”
