Wembley Tae Kwon Do
● OpenWembley HA0 3EY, United Kingdom“Master Bryan and the Blackbelt instructors were extremely knowledgable yet humble, friendly and eager to help. This class does not mess around! Dedication is required. You will not be given your belt, but you will earn your belt (and feel good about it). It is a legitimate TKD class, driven by love for the art rather than profit. Very positive, healthy atmosphere with quality people worth meeting. If you are serious about learning the art and improving physically and mentally, this is the class to go to. I live in the states, and after visiting various martial arts classes here, Wembley TKD by far stands out as my most engaging and productive experience.”

Capoeira Nago at Jinga Jinga Academy
● Open“Having trained in several capoeira groups, and with many capoeira teachers, I can confidently say that Sereia is one of the absolute best teachers I had the chance to train with. Her lessons are fun, engaging and focussed. She manages to make the beginners feel at ease very quickly and to push the students with more level accordingly. And she easily adapts exercises to whether you have back problems, knees issues, if you are pregnant, etc... She also has a huge amount of connections in the capoeira community and as such offers the possibility to attend many events and gradings throughout the year for those who want to join. And group of people training is as amazing as the teacher! Everyone is very supportive and always willing to help. There are a lot of socials oragnised and many opportunities to spend time with great people and know each other better. For the curious, the adventurer, the sporty, the dancy, the fun, the challenger, the musical, the history geek, or the fun... I wholeheartedly recommend!!”

Jiu-Jitsu Social
● Closed“I would recommend Dan’s Gym (Jiu-Jitsu Social) to anyone interested in starting &/or looking for a place to train BJJ. Trying something new, especially a martial art can be quite intimidating but when I started, Dan made me feel instantly welcome and was calm, patient and an excellent teacher. Since then I haven’t looked back and have been obsessed with JJ ever since!”

Dream Fencing Academy
● Closed“Walked by on a weekday, saw there was a fencing club up-there. There is also boxing and I wondered what it would be for me. Tried both and Yossif ("maitre d'arme") was just amazing. It's been a real pleasure, releasing some steam every Wednesday. Brought a couple of friends and everybody had so much fun, Yossif is great for new starters to most advanced! I've checked around London and fencing clubs are ridiculously overpriced with staff that are not even good international fencers, Yossif is a one man band working hard but with a big smile on his face and welcoming eyes. Go and check it out, you'll enjoy as much as I did. Unfortunately work keeps me busy 70 hours/week now so can't really comit to it atm, but will go back some days and practise my lunge ;-)”

Schools of Kung Fu Kingston
● Open“Awesome place to train and become a real disciple of Kung fu. Got my fourth level badge at the mo and looking to progress. Lessons are fun with a real clear plan of teaching. First 15 minutes are warm ups and stretches which really get the blood flowing, then punching, footwork drills. Followed by the form, Tsu nimh Tau.(not sure how its spelt hehe) After this every week there is different attacks and techniques which are constantly repeated and trained. This is amazing in building up an instinctual muscle memory training ritual which you can take with you if you are ever in Kingston one late evening near the pubs with louts running around. I feel so much more confident when I am out and it really helps people stay away for their own sake. Alex the instructor is the main man. Also had a pleasure in meeting Sifu Alan and Grand Master Sergio which really gives you an idea into how far beyond where you stand you can really venture into this martial art. If you have seen Ip man or into Bruce Lee you will want to do this. Even if you want to get fit and/or your a lady worried about people getting in your space this is the perfect art for you. My daughter was man handled by two lads a few years older than her. She shouted "Back Off!" and threw a Fuk sau and a Cheng Sau in their direction. Needless to say I have not had to interfere because they have now left her alone and made to feel like clowns because they got manhandled by a girl two years below her at school. So worth it. JUST DO IT!!!”
