The Underworld
● Open“I go here more often than I should, but I absolutely love the place. From live gigs (last seen Sack Sabbath which was brilliant!) to Blackout Saturdays (Admission 11pm - 3am). Great vibes, lovely staff at bar and inside. Drinks are a little on the pricier side, but its got lovely atmosphere. Definitely would recommend to anyone who's up for reliving their indie/ emo music days. Music is always on point!”

AQUA VISTA BISTRO-BAR
● Open“Some bistros fail to deliver, but Time does the business. Our reviewer had an early evening meal, catching the setting sun on the veranda after a warm October day. Time delivered in every way. The Haloumi starter was beautifully presented, freshly prepared, and in a mango sauce which worked well. The chicken burger main was exceptional, especially as our request for a small salad on the plare was met without any concern. Everything was cooked to perfection and was super tasty. We took the Red Rioja Crianza wine, perfectly o at room temperature, in a pristinely clean glass... even our request for a glass of tap water excelled, served with raspberries, blueberries and lemon... in a lead crystal tumbler. Service was top notch. Sarina cannot be more than 18 years old, but she took the order without writing it down, was polite, prompt and deserved her tip. Pelican Reviews are delighted to award Time Bistro-Bar with 5-Stars.”

The Chamberlayne
● Open“I wrote this review back in August but for some reason I can’t see it on this page. The Rise is an excellent pub and was nothing short of amazing for my birthday. The pub was so catering to what I wanted from start to end. We met with the manager beforehand who carefully went through what he thought the space should look like. He helped us pre order food and catered to the many dietary preference and allergies. On the day, the space was beautiful and we had the staff catering to us non stop. Everyone was so polite and the food was delicious. They made my birthday after a year of isolating and restrictions so much fun! We were celebrating in the back of the pub and had full use of the outdoor terrace and the entire inside area. The pizzas we ordered were so delicious, cocktails were yum & the atmosphere was great. Thank you so so much for being so incredible and so kind! We can’t wait to be back for another celebration in the not so distant future.”

Bull at Wanstead
● Open“Thank you to the Bull for helping us have a wonderful celebration for our daughters Christening day. We had Sunday lunch for 40 people and they brought out 40 meals, hot, delicious and on time. Everyone was so happy! A special thank you to Jay and Lara (I hope I got their names right) as they were particularly fantastic at looking after us and making sure everyone got their drinks / food. Thank you again I thoroughly recommend the Bull for a wonderful Sunday lunch or party.”

The Exhibit
● Open“Booked the cinema room for my 20th bday party and it was THE BEST NIGHT EVER! Staff upgraded us to the bigger cinema room free of charge because there was a problem with the other projector, brought us Christmas crackers, and took such good care of us. I also paid for 2 hrs but our movie run late and they let us finish it as the venue wasn’t too crowded that night. Food was was super yummy (have the mac & cheese!) and they had v good tequila. We’re all central ldn students so rarely ever go too far but it was sooo worth it. Very fun night!”

The Kingston 1
● Open88 London Road, Kingston Upon Thames KT2 6PX, United Kingdom“Beautiful pub in lovely Kingston, part of London where you can be very quickly via train back in the centre, on the other hand you are round the corner of Hampton Court, Wimbledon, great location, Buzzing high street, amazing walk along the river. The rooms really well set, clean, comfortable, really surprisingly nice, exceeded my expectation. cozy, great stay. Highly recommend. Really helpful staff, just breakfast might have a better variety of food, I was missing bread and toaster, but it would not put me off, maybe just message for the team )) I had croissant and it also made it ))) THANK YOU!!!”

The Boathouse
● Open“I left a 1* review last week but have amended this to 5* based on my experience. I had been too hasty with my previous review and had deleted it but think a positive review is fairer. The manager Usha has been super helpful in resolving an issue we had with a Xmas booking - they managed to find a reasonable solution despite the fact that there was poor communication on our end. Usha called me back and was more than open during our discussion and generally really helpful and friendly. She did take some time to respond as was respecting office hours and didn’t want to call me too late - much appreciated and something I had not initially considered.”

The Railway Tavern
● Open“Review of The Railway Tavern, Bexley Village. Me and wife went there for the first time, on a Sunday night in March 2022 - having heard they had karaoke. Arrived about 7.30 and it wasn't very busy so we got high chairs at the bar. DJ Duncan was already set up on a stage in the corner; he does a regular Sunday night session until 11pm. It's a bright, nicely laid out pub on the High Street, unsurprisingly round the corner from Bexley Rail Station and handy for buses including the 229. By 8.30 it was busy and by 9 it was HEAVING, mostly with the late 20's crowd but a fair few coffin dodgers (like us!) and one or two harmless weirdies. The hard working barmaids were run ragged. Great music and singers (mostly, but, well, it is karaoke!). Drink prices reasonable; £10 for a single Bacardi, a bottle of coke and a pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord (which was excellent!). A great night out. Recommended.”

The Hand & Flower, Olympia
● Open“Excellent Fullers pub directly opposite Olympia. Cosy, comfortable rooms in a quirky, original building, not your bland corporate offering. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Fabulous breakfast. Good lunchtime and evening food, and excellent Real ale. Nearest Tube about 20 mins walk along Kensington High Street, with plenty cafes and shops. Highly recommended.”

Scala
● Closed“A great venue. Especially if you're watching Alewya. Not sure what £££ signifies unless it's on a scale of 10. You won't go skint.”
