Brumus Bar & Restaurant
● Closed“Things were surprisingly quiet for a Saturday morning in Central London but we were lucky to find this charming place attached to a hotel. The menu is perhaps not the broadest and the portion sizes slightly smaller than in a cafe but the staff are absolutely lovely and really make you feel at home.”

Rox - Restaurant Bar Club
● Closed“I’ve come to Rox’s countless amounts of times, not once have I been let down. The customer service here is beyond amazing, they really are all so lovely. The BBQ ribs are honestly the most tender and flavoursome ribs I have ever had, they never get it wrong. All the lambs and chicken are so filling with the generous portions and the drinks are incredible. I’ve tried majority of the menu and it’s all so incredible. I would highly recommend, always book a table because they’re always so busy and rightly so.”

Mala Indian Kitchen & Bar
● Closed“Great comms via Instagram (I brought my small dog with me so wanted to check if it was dog-friendly, which it is). We sat outside, which was quiet (I suspect busier during the week with the Canary Wharf work crowd) but more people dined inside. Staff were amazing- very attentive, friendly & accommodating. We went for the 2-course lunch menu, which included thali options as the main. This was perfect for us, as it had a bit of everything you fancied. My friend is coeliac, which wasn't a problem, as most of the dishes were gluten-free. The food was tasty & portions were generous (especially the starters). I would highly recommend & look forward to returning again soon!”

Made in Italy
● Closed“Since the Wimbledon branch closed we were missing Made in Italy. The food was amazing and the service was exceptional. Sharing board had so many different tastes as well as pizza’s sourdough taste was distinct! I can say their pizza is one of the pest. Montepulciano wine we had was leaving a funny after taste. When told, our glasses were exchanged with wine from a new bottle immediately. I knocked the new wine glass but even that was replaced! Friendly staff and excellent Itallian food - Made in Italy continues to be our favorite!! Thank you:)”

The Weir Bar
● Closed“Celebrated a special birthday here. Began with 2 for 1 cocktails - the Tuesday night offer. Wouldn’t make the same choice again. We ate Oysters and Padron Peppers to start, followed by sharing Chateaubriand with a bottle of red French wine. Amazing & why we will return! The waiter was pleasant and helpful. He allowed us to keep the table for the evening, so no rush to order food or leave when finished eating. From the outside, the place looks quite pretentious with a dress code sign on the inner door. Whatever ‘smart dress’ means, jeans with a tee shirt & a tracksuit were worn by others without any fuss. Christmas tree & decorations are up!”

The Moretown Belle London
● Closed“Great food, service and value near the Tower of London. As an F1 fan I’ve been to a number of the races. And as a foodie, I’ve eaten in all sorts of places, from chip shops to Michelin star. So, F1 on a massive screen with surround sound and a massive Sunday roast, what better combination? Just around the corner from the Tower of London, it’s a wonderful and history filled walk to The Moretown Belle. Unlike other pubs, you’re greeted at the door by a host, with a warm smile as soon as you arrive. There’s plenty of seating , from booths, high tables and singles to groups. I went with my sister and we both decided to have the chicken for our roast. What surprised me was the variety and amount of vegetables. Fantastic - peas, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. I’m pretty sure we had a whole chicken between us. The plate was topped off with roast potatoes and an enormous Yorkshire pudding. We were true heroes and managed to eat a lot of it , but had to admit defeat. You definitely will not leave this place hungry after that roast. Service was slick and professional. I like the smart uniforms and how nothing was too much trouble. More gravy? A proper gravy boat arrived promptly. More drinks? Table service in a blink of an eye. For a part of London you’d expect to be a tourist trap, this is not. Locals, regulars, sports fans who find it online and book with their mates, families, and now me! It’s lovely to find an independent non - chain pub that really cares about just being brilliant. We will be back!”
