“Absolutely fantastic food and even better hospitality. As soon as we entered we felt welcome. We had a jug of passion fruit juice which was nice, if a bit sweet. For starters we had the nundu and the mogo. The mogo had a nice flavour and was a good consistency. The nundu was absolutely fantastic and I really recommend it. Traditionally it's just beef fat, however, as the server explained, you can't serve grilled fat on its own in the UK, so it had beef with it. It was so full of flavour and seasoned perfectly. For mains we had sukama wiki with ugali and charsi lamb curry with naan. The sukama had a lovely flavour and went well with the ugali. I tried the curry with the ugali and it didn't go as well. The curry was spicy but really rich. We had some karak chai to finish the meal and packed up everything we didn't eat. Our server was great - very friendly and knowledgeable - and I got the feel from the restaurant that they love serving people and making people happy with their food.”

“This is the second time I have been here. I had to take the whole family. First of all, the decor is fantastic, definitely feel like you're in Central London when you're inside. The waitresses there were fanatastic, anything we asked, we got, fast, very polite and happily were able to change our order around. The food, we had the lamb shish and loads of Adana Lamb, it was cooked to perfection, so tasty! The bread they give at the start is so soft and succilant too. I have to say I expected a bill double of what I paid. The prices here were unbelievable. Family loved it, I loved it and will definitely be back again. Try that Barclava at the end. Wow!!”

We were greeted warmly upon our arrival, all COVID protocols were followed with due diligence, the staffs were attentive & friendly and the food was heavenly. The very first bite took me straight to the streets of Bangkok, the food is authentically Thai - a perfect balance of flavours, spiciness and tanginess to tease, tickle and satiate your taste buds!! “Great food. Nice people. They will cook for you fresh, and in a live barbeque oven with a coal fire. This gives the kebab a distinct pleasing aroma. Service is also very friendly. “Very lucky to have this cafe on our doorstep. Kate (the owner) and her team are always welcoming and make a special fuss of our dog Luna even if we just walk by. Great selection of cakes all lovingly made by Kate and a great selection of food for breakfast & lunch. Kate also runs a Supper Club on a Thursday evening where she creates a varied 3 course meal each week. We have been on several occasions & have been delighted with the dishes and wine. Highly recommend for brunch, lunch, amazing cakes or a treat at the Supper Club. Not forgetting the cakes made to order for any celebration. Ordered several for various family celebrations. All delicious & loved by all our guests!”

“Had a very comfortable night here before a procedure at the nearby Bishopswood Hospital. Lovely room with garden view, high-speed Internet, Netflix, sky etc. My only regret is I didn't get to spend longer here and had to skip breakfast!”

“Having a little shop in Chelsea means we get to be right next too, and to sometimes try a few exclusive or fancier restaurants which of course is lovely, but too indicate just how good this place is we both hands down prefer coming to Shemuls on the night before we go away on holiday or at the end of a busy month. “Picked up an order last night. Even on takeout the staff were extremely attentive. THE PORTIONS ARE HUGE. Ordered a massala and rice and honestly it's probably going to be my next three meals. Food is very highly flavored. Wouldn't recommend if you're on a diet. Lots of ghee used. But that just made it better.”
