“I have recently undergone treatment at the Oak Hill Dental Centre which involved having 3 implants plus bridge work, a crown and a bone graft. I was recommended to the practice by a friend but was still apprehensive about attending. I had had a bridge for forty years and had delayed addressing this ailing structure. Mr. Mohsin Ali who carried out my treatment, very quickly put me at my ease by his calm and quietly confident manner, never making a drama of my problem and talking through every stage with me. Over the months that I was being treated I was able to make contact if I had a query, the reception team being very helpful and efficient, getting messages through to him very quickly and he quickly replying to allay any worries I may have had. Mr. Ali listened to what I wanted for the outcome of my treatment, inputting his advice and views, resulting in over and beyond what I had expected. “These guys at Serdars barbers are nothing but amazing each and every single one of them, they all spend an hour or over perfecting your trim, I leave there looking fresh and the woman who gives your face,arms and shoulders a gentle massage is amazing. They always provide you with a hot towel which is incredible”

He and the rest of his staff always make an effort to welcome anyone coming in, creating a warm atmosphere whether you want to shop and/or enjoy a delicious tea or coffee. “I took my Romanian rescue into the shop today for a haircut. He’s very nervous, won’t go near most people and hates closed spaces, so I usually clip him myself but I’m not very good at it!! The ladies were super patient with him and clearly spoiled him as he came out a much more confident dog than the one I dropped off! “Mainly posted as I thought the guy moaning about fruit and veg being dropped on the floor was hilarious - it grows outside and often in the ground! What’s the difference once it’s been peeled / cooked… just wash it like you should do anyway - don’t waste it! I find the staff are ok, wouldn’t say friendly but not rude by any means either. Great stock of spices and random beans and grains that I often can’t find in the supermarket. And lots of fresh fruit and veg which is handy midweek between supermarket shops.”

“We have been coming since the first day it opened. The food is fantastic. The service is friendly and you always get a warm welcome. They will try to accommodate you if you haven't booked even at busy times. It is advisable to book as it gets busy. If you want a variety of dishes I would recommend the Shish Platter. You can always take home what you don't eat. We will be returning very soon.”

“We used to live nearby for a few years and never went there, although had heard good things about it. Then one evening off the cuff, we gave it a try and have been regulars ever since. There are very few Indian restaurants that are pretty full all week, so I always make a point of booking. We are always well looked after with a very reasonable bill and excellent food. They've been there over 30 years, so they must have got it right and I believe the decor is the original, so it's like going back to the past although no flock wallpaper, but magnificent portions. Usually crowded with nice customers. Highly recommended. Just booked for tomorrow now.”

I was also impressed with the given time slot for delivery, installation and collection of old machine as this saved me repeating the experience of a whole day wasted some years ago, waiting around for another supplier, who failed to turn up. One of the nurses, also prayed with me, which was one of the most comforting and heartening experiences ever. My procedure went smoothing and at the time of discharge I didn’t feel as though I had just been through major surgery.”

Every step of the process of getting my kitchen done, home entirely rewired, double glazed windows repaired and lots of other work was thoroughly communicated to make sure I was happy every step of the way.
