“One of the few places in Enfield that provides all-round comfort. A welcoming and warm atmosphere from the moment you step through the door. I usually come here to get away from my home office and do some work. The food is amazing, the coffee is exquisite and the hosts/hostesses have never been anything but courteous, friendly and helpful. Suffice to say, I am now a regular!”

“First time trying and really enjoyed it. The new space looks really good, really light and has a nice feel about it. Was 3 of us and came to about £55 but we definitely ordered more than needed with coffees. 2 of us shared the mix gyros platter, one had eggs and avocado and share a couple of sides - the sausage in particular was Delish. Really tasty and generous portion - the gyros meat was nice and crispy and moist - as good as we’ve had in Greece. 2 minor things which were a bit negative. Firstly the eggs were a bit cold - suspect due to sitting around while they got the platter and sides sorted. We ordered tzatziki and pitta as sides, we probably should have worked out (and does say on menu), but would have thought the waiter would have mentioned the gyros platter did come with that those as we would have tried perhaps hummus or another side. Overall, great spot, friendly staff, tasty food and felt value for money. Would recommend and return.”

“A local gem! Kensington best kept secret indeed! Absolutely amazing Italian cafe with excellent coffee, traditional Italian cakes / sweets, probably the best sandwiches in the neighborhood and delicious takeaway lunch (pasta, schnitzel, lasagna, etc!)”

Prices very affordable and good value. Good atmosphere, attracts really nice local people. Also has an alcohol licence, drinks to drink in or take away, good cafe, really nice. Highly recommended.”

“I have tried every coffee shop in Brixton. This and the other I’ve reviewed *ahem Caya ahem* are by far the best. Amazing coffee, nice place to chill or work, great service. Definitely get your coffee here before you head to the more popular areas in Brixton.”

“Bf told me this is his favourite pub in England. Finally had a chance to visit this place with him and I must say, it's pretty good. Welcoming owner who immediately warm-heartedly greets you with "welcome home" (on the way out of the pub, I notice the sign at the entrance that also reads "welcome home"). Nice atmosphere and great lighting. The eclectic decor is a feast for your eyes. Staff got one of our orders wrong but that's ok, we all make mistakes sometimes. Didn't have to wait long for our actual main to arrive. Hope to visit this place again when they have the live band playing.”

“Not just any Pizza, The Pizza’s here are very tasty and delicious in Flavour, with so much variety to choose from I am never disappointed, I find the Lunch deals a treat , especially for children, Great value for money one pizza can definitely be shared. It’s always nice to see a Friendly face there, especially the owner who goes out of his way to Greet all is customers, often when not busy your pizza will be hand deliver by him ( that’s within Peckham levels for customers inside location only) What a like about this place is the menu is always being updated with so much to offer and both myself and Daughter really Love it here!”

“Loved this place. Stumbled opon it when just looking for any pizza place but this wasn’t just any pizza place. An amazing atmosphere and lovely pizza. The brownie was delicious however not as keen on the tiramisu. 2 really nice guys serving us during the night aswell. Would definitely recommend!”

“When you arrive at the extremely aptly named restaurant ‘CARACTÈRE’, the sense of the character of this place begins before you even walk through the door. Closed shut and almost a little unwelcoming looking - this creates an element of mystery. After you walk through the door you are greeted by the extremely attentive and friendly staff who will show you to the table and walk you through the very creative menu. We opted for the 3 course A La Carte which is reasonably priced at £78, especially given the location and quality. The waiters asked if we wanted an apéritif and swiftly delivered it with ‘pleasure’. Before ensuring we enjoyed a very hospitable evening with high quality and delicious dishes all round. I throughly enjoyed the experience and would just like to say two words to the owner if they are reading this. Thank you.”
