“Great food as always, the tiramisu in particular is recommended! Plenty of choice and menu changes regularly. Service was a little slow but the restaurant was very busy, so I'll let them off!”

“When your Italian friend admits that the pizzas are good here, you know that this chain is doing something right. My first visit to Waterloo and the Margherita Buffalo was great. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and let us enjoy the pizza without constant interruption. They haven't expanded recklessly and keep both quality and consistency high. I occasionally try the guest pizzas when they don't have meat on them (pizza should never have weird meat or pineapple on it). So the Lower Marsh branch is laid back, has good outdoor space and I will return soon.”

“The picture of the wine wall was as far as I got because from when they took our drinks order whilst waiting for our table through to finishing our last sip of wine we were lost in the evening. It was a lovely summer evening and we were able to sit outside. The staff were lovely (busy, very busy) but attentive, pleasant and helpful with any questions we had on the menu. The food was absolutely delicious, and we are happy to have found this little gem so close to our hotel. 3 courses, a bottle of wine and a short potter back. “This restaurant was an Instagram find. The food was delicious and our hostess was funny and charming. She suggested we tried the Montenegro with our tiramisu. We sat in the beer garden at the back, which was a great experience. I would definitely recommend it as the weather improves and I look forward to trying their pasta dishes.”

“A small Italian based Restaurant that provides good food at reasonable prices. It started small but they have expanded over the years. The restaurant provides two menus, specials of the day and a set menu. You cannot go wrong with either one. They can cater for small and medium groups if you make reservations. An outdoor area is available when the weather is nice. This restaurant is good value for money and will not break the bank. A light dinner for two cost me under £40 pounds. Staff are friendly and accomodating.”

“We wanted to celebrate our son’s 21st birthday with an Italian meal in an authentic and intimate setting and L’Italiana is the perfect restaurant. The food is amazing - great choices, very tasty and generous portions. Lovely atmosphere and staff are very friendly and helpful with great service. The mussels were full of flavour, and the starter on the Special - crab and prawn bruschetta - was delicious. For mains, two of us ordered the Veal Milanese and Pollo Milanese which are our favourites - we asked if we could change the sauce to bolognese with the spaghetti, which was no problem at all - we were not disappointed. All our meals were so delicious - the food exceeded our expectations. We ordered garlic bread which we couldn’t finish as we were so full so asked if we could take it home, which the waitress was happy to pack for us. I would definitely recommend this restaurant - the food is to die for with a lovely intimate and authentic atmosphere and genuine, friendly staff.”

“I ordered Matteo’s and it was made extremely efficiently and got to me in minutes. The pasta was great considering it was delivered, I do wish the arrabbiata had a bit more spice as it was pretty sweet. I’d give it 4.8 stars if I could but Matteo certainly deserves well above 4 stars.”

Great menu options including dips. Portion sizes are reasonable but the desert was pretty small (not sure if that’s because I wanted more!).”
