“Absolutely the best coffee shop around. Food is great, there are always a selection of freshly homemade cakes and treats plus a couple of quality savory items to chose from. The coffee drinks are excellent, they rival any of the great independent coffee shops in central London. The best thing about this place is the way it feels. It’s only little (as the name says) but it has a warm, lovely, homey, authentic vibe. (In normal times) there’s always a rotating crowd of people at the tables inside and outside, chatting and enjoying their neighborhood. When I moved to the area I found it hard to get know people but I always felt welcome here, wound up meeting the owners and lots of other patrons and got to learn a little more about the area thanks to the owners’ commitment to engaging with the wider community. Although they have been delivery only for the Covid period the tasty treats and warm vibes are still present. I can’t wait to be back in the shop again soon!”

Despite just 'dropping by' their Croydon offices I was welcomed by a very pleasant young lady and had only to wait a very short while to be seen by Nick Sharp, Sales Manager. He very quickly grasped my requirements and gave me excellent practical advice based on his experience. At all times I felt that he was just giving 'best advice' and not selling. Nick transferred my plan and requirements onto his dedicated computer program making it easier for him to compile my order and it transpired, his subsequent print out provided me with a valuable aid to completing the job in hand. The pedestal support system is an excellent product, my order was very well packaged and marked and delivered exactly on time. I could not speak highly enough of excellent service and product.”

Not only did Millie agree to it, she personally went to the market, bought potatoes, and created a gorgeous arrangement for an early morning delivery . Very happy customer!”

“Dined at Taste of Bengal for the first time ever this evening and I have nothing but good things to say. The food was amazing, so flavoursome! Papadoms were offered whilst we decided on our mains and came out warm which was nice. I had a Badshahi Chicken and the Mr had a Chicken Tikka Masala, both had generous amounts of chicken. Sides included the best saag aloo I've had in ages, onion bhaji and garlic naan. Server (didn't catch his name sorry) closed with "we hope to see you again regularly, you'll always be very welcome" such a warm an friendly service. 100% recommend and will definitely be visiting again/ getting take away. “Not sure about the older reviews - I see mixed opinions; my experience with it - we just ordered from Rajeev after he moved to the Jolly Farmers pub. Food was very nice, arrived quick with no delivery fee and they’ve got a lot of mains in the menu that I never tried / you typically don’t find in most Indian restaurants. We’ll order again surely and looking forward for the summer to eat in at the pub garden.”

“Top Class family run Indian / Bangladeshi takeaway in South Croydon CR2. Food is always fresh, consistent and piping hot... Guy on the telephone is mega polite and always remembers your order too... Delivery guys are friendly and always spend a few minutes asking about your life and holidays... Reasonably priced, good quality, well established (+15 years!) and local! 10/10”

They always use fresh vegetables such as onions peppers broccoli carrots and the wide selection of options on the menu is enough to satisfy even the fussiest of eaters. The shop doesn’t look much when you go inside and the food belies this as it is always hot tasty cooked properly and with decent ingredients. Definitely give them a try.”
