Finsbury Park Picturehouse
● Open“Of all the cinemas in London, the Finsbury Park Picturehouse is by far my favourite. Plush seating in every screen. Not keen on the snacks and drinks on sale especially the prices charged. But given the fact that the cinema is within walking distance of home, happy to become a member and to go and see a film at the Finsbury Park Picturehouse as a weekly cinematic treat.”

The Rubens at the Palace
● Open“Stayed at The Rubens for one night. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional. Excellent breakfast choices. Location is amazing. We had a couple of room issues and mentioned them at checkout in order for them to be corrected, we were not complaining as they hadn’t detracted from our stay however Laura was amazing and dealt with it very well indeed. A great base to see the London sights. Would definitely book again.”

Georgian House Hotel
● Open“Georgian House was exactly what I was looking for! A small, clean, up-to-date room in a great location for a reasonable price. Everything was well decorated and efficient, hot shower, comfortable bed, intuitive storage, easy check-in. Very close to Victoria Underground + Rail Stations, walking distance to many areas of London I wanted to see. I had a wonderful stay!”

Royal Berkshire
● Open“Where do I begin with Royal Berkshire Hotel? In summary, I had a birthday party organised for around 85 guests in December and it was a great decision to use them! I had a beautiful lady Le Tran support me every step of the way. She bent over back to make sure my event was organized to the way I wanted it. She was extremely polite, patient and she listened. Very important. Prior to using them, I was very nervous as I had been totally messed around with Denham Grove hotel. I'll review them later but my advice will be stay clear of Denhame Grove to avoid disappointment! Back to Royal Berkshire Hotel, on the day, staff were available to ensure everything was a success. The FOOD was Amazing! All my guests were impressed by the flavor, quality and quantity. It tasted delicious. There was a young guy (i think Anthony) who was on ground with the manager in charge to help with ensuring my event room was arranged to how I wanted it. Thank you! The bedrooms were also beautiful. Everything about this little gem of a hotel made my day so easy. Nothing seemed like too much trouble and all the staff I met were helpful and friendly. My guests took over 20 rooms in the hotel and we were able to have breakfast together. Again, there was a good selection of breakfast options and staff were able to accomodate our party size and available to support. My guest were really impressed by the hotel and their service and will highly recommend for weddings and larger events. We met one of the morning Chef (Nicky) and it was lovely for myself and a couple of my guest to chat with her. Staff look like they enjoyed working there from those on reception to the waiters. We didn't feel any form of discrimination or hostility. If I need to, I will certainty use them again in the future and will certainly plan a mini break back there. Thank you!!!”

Trafalgar Tavern
● Open“Nice spot with beautiful views of the Thames. On a hot summer day, you can be seated outside on the riverside under the shade of the trees and buildings and have a good time. It was busy but service was good and prompt. Food was delicious and we had a nice time here.”

Brentwood Guest House
● Open“I booked four nights recently at BGH and absolutely loved it. Staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for you, my room was huge and the off street parking was a blessing. I was on a course and the room allowed me peace to study at night. Two minutes walk from the high street, for food or local shops - it was brilliant. Breakfast was available every day and the garden room was gorgeous. My room had two wardrobes, a fridge, a smart TV and free wi-fi. My private shower room was very modern, clean and constantly with warm water and lots of clean fresh towels. I was treated to a wonderful stay at Brentwood guest house and plan on returning very soon for another beautiful, rest filled stay!”

Royal Adelaide Hotel

I am so pleased we chose the Weir, the staff were excellent, very organised and attentive. I was very impressed, buffet was excellent and it made a difficult occasion much easier. So friendly and helpful. Thank you. Kirsti”

Friendship House (Southwark)
● Closed“I stayed in Friendship House for nearly 3 months and can really recommend it. The staff is super nice and helped me out especially when I had to stay in quarantine because of Covid. It was possible to make changes to the booking only one week ahead which is why it was possible to spontaneously move out, when I decided to travel for two weeks. The rooms are simple but clean and there is a cleaning service once a week. Finally, the house is located quite central and has a yard where you can lock a bike. It is really hard to find a room in London if you stay for less than three months, so I'm really glad I found friendship house and in comparison to other accomodations it was relatively cheap (especially the shared rooms).”

Birch (Cheshunt)
● OpenLieutenant Ellis Way, Cheshunt, Waltham Cross EN7 5HW, United Kingdom“We stayed at Birch for a couple days in The Riding club family room. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The events, staff and chilled out vibe they create is truly unique. Our kids loved it. The staff were particularly good with my autistic/ADHD teenage daughter. And the food is the best we’ve had in ages. Yes, the rooms are basic (air-con major plus) but it’s meant as a base to explore the gems within the grounds. Well done team Birch - we love what you’ve created and will definitely be back. Justine & James”

South Kensington Kitchen
● Closed“I really appreciated how sweet the owner was when I ordered a small avocado and tomato salad to go this week. She gave me a huge serving—enough for two or three meals—and it was very fresh and delicious. Strong recommend.”
-
Hong Kong restaurant
● Open“Very enjoyable! I stepped in for a quick bite and ordered the prawn dumplings (which is advertised on the front window and what had originally drawn me in, having walked by and seeing it the night before) as well as the crab xio long bao, which although it had a little more ginger than I would have liked, the soup inside was delicious. I came right after opening, and it was relatively slow, but service was fantastic. My server didn't want to bother me but continued to keep an eye on my table the entire time I was there, happily making a recommendation when asked. They also have what looks like a full menu for beer and wine but I just had a coke.”
