Sushi No Mai, Watford Market
● Closed39 Watford House Lane, Watford WD17 1JB, United Kingdom“I want to give this place a bad review so the queue gets shorter and I can get back in easier! It might not look like much from the outside but there's a reason why this place is packed from the moment it opens. Fantastic food, friendly helpful staff and unbelievable value for money. Every single dish we ordered (sashimi, sushi, tempura, miso) was full of flavour and freshly prepared. I can't recommend this place highly enough.”

Aamcha Eastern Kitchen | Indian Restaurant & Takeaway in Radlett/Watford
● Closed“Fantastic experience! The menu was a great change from your ‘traditional’ Indian restaurants. Full of flavour and presented elegantly. The staff matched the quality of the food with their care and consideration for all diners. We could not fault our experience and can’t wait to return!”

Honest Burgers Watford
● Closed“I have dined here on several occasions with my family and friends. On each visit the same staff member served us. He built a friendly rappore and delivered excellent customer service! On one occasion I was served the incorrect food and he immediately corrected this showing great empathy. He compensated us with complimentary meals on the house. The food was great. I highly recommend Honest Burgers Watford!”

Cassiobury Park Hub & Daisy’s In The Park
● Closed“I started going to Daisy’s in the park when I got my puppy over a year ago. The staff are very friendly, helpful and so professional, all of them! I really enjoy going there in the morning get my coffee. Their breakfast and cakes are delicious, home-made with a wild variety to choose from. It gets busy over the weekend but they still put a smile on their face and try their best to get rid of the queue. For instance they’ll open the cafeteria downstairs whenever possible. They’re the only cafeteria in the park so weekends get very busy. I usually go around 10am at the weekend to skip the queue. They take cards only since Covid/lockdown which is the new norm in most places anyways. I actually find it reassuring to avoid spreading germs… Covid! They also have hand sanitiser and dog treats. Very generous! My dog loves them :-)”

TGI Fridays - Watford Central
● Closed“Amazing food and even more amazing service. We went for the avocado with tortilla chips, seame chicken strips, lemon garlic chicken and chocolate fixation cake with ice cream. Good portions, authentic flavours as expected. The ambience was great and will transport you to the diners of America. Would highly recommend.”

Fireaway Pizza Watford
● Closed“We were looking for something to eat at 01:00 and we were convinced that we would not be able to find anything decent that late. Luckily, we found this diamond! The pizza is prepared very quickly right in front of you. We tried the pepperoni and we felt courageous and also ordered the Hawaiian which was amazing! They also added dips of garlic sauce. Well, I can assure you it was one of the best pizzas we ever had. Congrats to the lady that made those great pizzas like a pro!”

Las Iguanas - Watford
● Closed“We visited here today for their bottomless brunch. I can honestly say that this is great value for money especially if you add the cocktail upgrade. Our waiter for our visit was CJ and considering it was only his second day he did a great job. Nothing was too much trouble. If you're passing and fancy some great food and even better cocktails it's well worth a visit.”

Premier Inn Watford Croxley Green hotel
● Open“Comfortable hotel at a very reasonable price. Rooms are spacious, clean and quiet with (width-restricted) opening window. I have stayed here four times in last 3 months, and have another booking upcoming. Room is well appointed with an extremely comfortable bed and large work area with plenty of power points and USB plug sockets around the room. The room has tea/coffee making facilities, but does not supply decaffeinated coffee in the room (but it is available from reception free of charge). The shower works well, but is over the bath requiring a significant step up (although rooms with accessible facilities are possible). Hotel is in a quiet location on the edge of town. Breakfasts are good value, but dining area can be very busy and many children WILL be present (hotel is convenient for Harry Potter tour). There is currently no food or bar service in the evenings but there are pubs and restaurants within a reasonable walking distance. The staff are both friendly and accommodating. My only issues are that a non-slip mat is not provided for the bath, and decaffeinated coffee is not in the room, requiring a trip down to reception, but these are minor inconveniences.”

I order salmon nigiri, sashimi, maki, avocado and salmon roll and the teriyaki chicken and udon noodles are fab too. Don’t believe the negative reviews.”

Tony & Maria's
● Open“A really nice combination of a Café and Restaurant. The food is excellent. I had the Penne with Spicy meatballs and it was very tasty and well presented. I understand this place is under threat of closure . I think people should work hard to protect this kind of establishment, so much better in quality and taste than the chain fast food places.”

Funky Flavours
● Closed“We had a quick dinner here before our visit at the WB museum, very good and nice staff, friendly to foreigners and helpful, the food was prepared from fresh ingredients, tasted amazing and had a lot of spice and herbs used in it, which gave it the right flavor and I was surprised by the low price compared to other places in London. If you are in this area and hungry, I recommend this place.”
