“An Amazing Adventure. We were planning a 1month holiday to India and decided on the route we wished to follow, the regions we wished to explore and the amazing sights we wanted to experience. With India being so vast and the means of travel not being exhaustive, we contacted The Holiday Butler for guidance. From the word go Parul and his team were exemplary. We had a specific budget and we wanted to start our adventure in the north, Shimla in the foot of the Himalayas and travel south to Goa, taking in wonderful cities and sites , I.e. Delhi, Agra (Taj Mahal), Chandigarh, Ranthambore (Tiger territory), Jaipur, Armadabad, Mumbai and Goa. Parul proposed a truly wonderful schedule for us, providing the hotels, the local guides in each of the cities, train schedules and drivers where necessary. Spending 2-3 nights in each of the cities for the first 3 weeks required a great deal of planning to ensure we got the maximum pleasure and benefits. And then finalizing the trip with a relaxing time on the beautiful beaches of Goa. And that is exactly what we received. We travelled extensively on India’s excellent railway service, but the stations are delightfully chaotic and bustling, and the train times complicated. However Parul ensured guides directed us to precisely the correct platforms, and even the correct carriages. A driver was also waiting outside the station to take us firstly to the hotel and, with the guide take us to see the sights of the city. Parul’s proposed schedule allowed us to have a totally worry free adventure, never having to worry if we were on the right platform for the right train, or finding the hotel in a bustling city,and for example, even ensuring we visited the splendid Taj Mahal at the right time of day to gain the maximum pleasure. For us visiting India was a tremendous experience but we saw only a small part. We intend to return to see other parts and have no qualms of using The Holiday Butler again to get maximum pleasure from our adventure. We love to travel and will happily use The Holiday Butler for other countries to visit. SE Asia is also on our list”

“Perhaps the best Sunday roast I had in 8y living in the UK. I’ve been there with friends and I ordered the Jacob’s ladder to share. The meat was absolutely phenomenal, incredibly tasty and perfectly cooked (12h slow cook). Each vegetable served with meat (roast potato, carrot and butternut squash purée, etc) was flavourful as well as the Yorkshire pudding. The pub is very nice and it’s located just 5 min away from the old market square in Kingston. Friendly staff, reasonable prices”

“Really great way to spend a summer day. Easy to book but accepting walk ins (at least in the morning). It gets pretty crowded but not unmanageable. You need to put your towel on the ground that is concrete but the pool is not overcrowded. Remember to take 1 pound for the lockers (retrievable). They have a cafe that serves coffee, drinks and food through the day. If you book morning you can stay practically the whole day. There is enough place decaded for both free swimming and the professional swimming. Highly recommend!”

“This place is great! I like the atmosphere and staff . I take my dog for walks and it’s always been a great stop for a cold drink and chunky chips for my dog girl . Today I was amazed of the quality of oysters and Sunday roast was served in very generous portions. The size of the pork cut its size of my leg lol . Must try !!!”

“I booked my table online 20mins before arrival, but it did look like they would have space for walk-ins, 8pm Thurs evening. Very nicely decorated, the DJ was amazing!! The heater system is great, I didn't feel cold at all. Drinks were half price - I'm not sure why. I had the lamb burger which was delicious, and a mango mocktail. Very filling. I did see some people order a dry ice decorated dessert which looked fun. And a few birthdays - the staff come out with candles and birthday music. The shisha was great, smooth, disposal pipes - Using a heat management system, lasted 2hrs. I would visit again.”

“A very quaint and cute little bar. The pours are healthy and the drinks taste great. The food is really good and very tasty. Their cider’s are really good. There’s plenty of space inside with multiple televisions so if you want to watch the big match you can easily accomplish that here. During the winter with the lights and decorations it has a very “homely and pleasant atmosphere” that is very welcoming. But if you fancy some fresh air there are some adorable little huts outside that at night, create a really cosy and elegant atmosphere that is perfect for a date night outing. Best thing about this place though, the bartenders are really friendly and easy to talk to and pretty cool. There’s a guy there called Steph, he’s awesome. Very professional and pours a great drink/ makes a great cocktail but is also really cool to talk to and makes every effort to make your stay a great one, he’s a great bartender and a great guy. I would highly recommend this place.”

“I used to live here back in the 70s /80s my grandfather was the landlord so my review was always going to be biased . First time back in nearly 40 years with my kids. The pub hasn't changed that much. Great trip down memory lane.”

“Really cute pub. Went here for lunch today and the staff were very helpful with the menu and drinks selection. Had the burger with fries. Fries were nice and warm and burger was well made with avocado. The slaw was what blew me away alongside with my favourite E1 Brew Co CBD lager which they had. They also informed me that they always allocate all the right beer brands with the correct pint glasses. They also have a play room for darts and plenty of space for matches and big party crowds. If you're a pub crawler it's well worth a visit!”
