Fresh look in Cobham

“Just wanted to leave this review as I feel like this place deserves it. Had the full service here recently, from a skin fade to waxing, hot towel shave, very refreshing and reasonably priced. I would recommend this place and give it 6 stars if I could. I have been in pretty much every barbers in the area. I highly recommend getting the full service done, youll feel like a new man.”

“Hands down some of the best fish shop food i’ve eaten and I spent my childhood in Cornwall. I ended up eating £35 worth of battered goodness in one greasy sitting. All human reflexes left my body and I simply devoured every last amber coloured flake of batter. The next day I spent the morning in the shower, contemplating the animalistic impulse that washed over me, undoing millennia of psychological evolution in one crispy bite. As much as I’d love to return, I simply won’t be able to contain myself if I were to go back to this chippy, I may devolve to a lower state of consciousness. Because of this fried establishment, I must contemplate a life without Cobham Fish Bar’s scran. This leaves an immensely sad feeling within me. I hope you enjoy their food as much as I did. As for the comments relating to the wait time, the wait is irrelevant. If you’re visiting for some stale trawler caught cod, then look elsewhere. The fish is cooked right before your very eyes by keen employees that exist only for us humans culinary enjoyment. They show a genuine interest in the customers day and diligently go through your order to ensure that there are no dinner-time disasters. This team envisage “Quae Sursum Sunt Quaerite”.”

“First time we had brunch at Fego Cobham, had a great experience. We arrived at 11:30am on a weekday, served immediately. The poached egg and smashed avocado on sourdough bread was ok, pretty standard, very filling. The Mexican-inspired Ranchero, on the other hand, was rather delightful: poached eggs, sautéed potatoes, chorizo, mushroom, jalapenos, smashed avocado, coriander yoghurt. A medium spicy, tomatoey flavour - just perfect! Generous portion as well. Highly recommend!”

“We had breakfast in Saturday morning. The waiters were very friendly and the place was quite busy. Prices are higher than in some other nearby restaurants, but the presentation and the decor is great. Hoping to come back again soon to try the dinner menu.”

“My girlfriends and I attended a wreath making workshop with Holly and her team this weekend. Wow! It was so much fun! Holly was so helpful (and patient), as none of us had any experience in wreath making. She let us select our own materials (which were all environmentally conscious) and took us through the entire process from start to finish! The end pieces were beautiful (if I do say so myself) and I can’t recommend Holly and her team enough. They’ve breathed new life into floristry and I’m hooked! Well worth the money in my opinion and just a really nice thing to do with the girls in the run up to a hectic Christmas. Thanks Holly and The Ivy xx”

“Unbelievable service here, very attentive and engaging the food was TO DIE FOR. Only minor was the sharing steak (pictured) we felt should have chosen a larger size as we both thought it wasn't QUITE big enough, our fault, not theirs. The wine (pictured) is some of the best I've ever tasted as is the garlic bread starter (pictured). Will definitely be returning but at over £200 for 3 people probably only for special occasions. Thank you again to the staff here, truly exceptional!”

“This was my favorite pub. We spent a great deal of time and money there. Good friends made, both staff and locals. Unfortunately, the manager, has no class and a bad attitude. The Runner is on suspension, for me, for 60 days. If it ever happens again, I won’t spend another £ there. Reply - I am not about to Dox anybody. We love the food, atmosphere and friendships. The absolute majority of your staff is excellent. A little bit of tact goes a long way though, as opposed to a “Shoosh”. You should indeed have a conversation with managers about how they deal with people, especially some that drop 500 quid a month. Thanks, Ollie, Very Best. Update - The Running Mare has definitely upped their game. Give credit where credit is due. This is a wonderful place where You will find kind and interesting people. “I ordered some flowers for my mother last week who lives in Cobham . I was quite specific in what I wanted as wanted to re create my mothers wedding bouquet from 50 years ago . Moonflower went above and beyond to source the exact flowers and were so helpful keeping me updated in the process. I dealt with Natalie who was wonderful and so kind and I highly recommend Moonflower for any occasion . I will be using them again .”

“Just wanted to say 'thank you', especially to the male member of staff on checkout/stacking who helped me greatly and stopped me having a bit of a meltdown when my electric wheelchair decided to take some timeout at the checkout this afternoon, he was kind, considerate, polite and understanding and reassured me that my dilema was not a problem even though I could hear a few 'tuts' from customers behind me. I forgot to look at his name badge , but he knows who he is and you should too as there will be a little halo shining brightly above him, please pass on my HUGE thanks to him again and reassure him that the taxi got me home safely. “I do like this petrol station. Obviously you get nectar points on your petrol, but it’s really handy for top up shops after the main store has closed. There is a cash point, a car wash and the shop is well stocked with essentials and other things like beer, wine chocolates and flowers. Also sell essential items for the car too, screen wash, antifreeze, emergency canister for reinflatung tyres etc etc. Staff are always nice and friendly.”

“Visited for a festive hot chocolate (and toblerone latte in my case) with the family on Christmas eve. Really appreciated being allowed to bring our spaniel in to sit in the back room. Hot drinks delicious and we also tried a white chocolate tiffin slice - pricey but a lovely treat!”

“Usual Starbucks things... outside area. Nice selection of mugs and travel mugs. On my latest visit I had a maple rooibois late. If you don’t like coffee, it’s a very nice alternative. I’ve never seen it before, so I’m wondering if it’s seasonal”
