“Great atmosphere, high quality service and food. There was a lady singing as well. We had tartare (prepared infront of us) that was fantastic. Also the burrata with avocado on toast with smoked tomatoes, was good too. We pre-booked the beef Wellington. Perfect medium rare, large portion. Adding the starter was really a lot of food. Robert the waiter was really prepared and recommended the perfect wine for our dinner. I think this place doesn't have 1 Michelin star just because the dishes are very traditional but the entire experience is exactly like being in a starred restaurant.”

“Pop in every now and again to buy their sausage and bacon rolls. Food is great. Atmosphere is very nice, kids welcome. Service has always been up to standard as they cook to order. A nice place to visit for a full English, pie and mash or just plain old breakfast rolls.”

“Stopped by the Stafford for a drink and lunch with my wife and father and law to repeat a tradition passed down from my dad who has been going to the Stafford for many years. We were really impressed by the service and staff and how well they accommodated our small sleeping baby in a stroller. Great experience, great service - highly recommend the restaurant and American Bar.”

“Best place for coffee ever. Amazing hot chocolate. Really tasty. Awesome cakes as well. We tried the coffee one yesterday and the carrot cake one this morning... We can't decide which one is better! Also lovely staff, very smiley and attentive. Nice little terrace to seat outside under the sun. Definetly coming back.”

“Very great little cafe you get what you pay for and great portions - delicious traditional English brekkie! The staff are really welcoming and always smiling. It's in such great location, especially if you unfortunately have a hospital visit, Homerton hospital is around the corner and Chatsworth road market up the road. This place feels really homey and has a real sense of community.”

“Stayed for 3 nights. I usually book to stop at Premier Inn hotels because I know what to expect. In London, I normally stop at the County Hall Premier Inn but due to the ideal location for going to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge I decided to switch it up. We booked into an accessible room to cater for my mum, which had plenty of space. The room and bathroom were clean and of the usual Premier Inn standard, can not complain for the price or location.”

“The premier plus rooms are lush! I had a great sleep here during an event at the Excel. Breakfast and dinner was lovely. Only complaints were that the carpark was limited due to work on the building and staff could have been a bit more welcoming.”

“I’ve walked past this pub for many years but had never visited until today. To be honest its name and proximity to St Paul’s Cathedral put me off, as I wrongly assumed that it was a tourist place. Really friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. A much bigger space downstairs although closed on a quiet January afternoon. Loved the huge wooden balustrades that dominate the street level bar area. A Greene King pub but I was happy to find Timothy Taylor Landlord on draught. Even a garden out back - a rarity in The City of London. A hidden gem in plain sight!”

“We held a charity Ladies Lunch and Fashion Show at the newly refurbished Holiday Inn, Shepperton, and it was amazing. From the initial contact and throughout the process all requests/arrangements were met with a positive ‘no problem’ attitude. Under the leadership of the amazing Sandra the whole team were warm, friendly and professional throughout the day. Rooms were provided for the models and choir to get ready in and the main event took place in a beautifully prepared dining room. Nearly 150 guests dined on fantastic food - all delicious, promptly served, and the hot food was hot! This is an annual event, but our first time at this venue, and we will certainly be back - our guests will insist on it! Well done and our grateful thanks to everyone involved. “Open Saturday mornings till about 11.30 as well as Mon-Fri, great for a coffee or tea to take away when we're walking our dog round the nearby fields. Can't fault the bacon and egg rolls either and a steal at the prices. Don't be put off by the exterior, get in there and you'll be well looked after”
