“I ended up coming here to see Natasha the hygienist because my NHS dentists wait was over 4 months (and that was on top of waiting 6 months for a check up)!! Embarrassingly after not seeing a hygienist for nearly 5 or so years she had her work cut out. She did a fantastic first clean, and I've just returned from a check up appointment and second clean. Considering they needed a thorough clean, it was all done gently and the difference was instantly noticeable. At no point did I feel judged for not going for so long (which I was worried about) and Natasha has given me some fantastic advice for future care. It's such a shame I can't afford to swap to full private dental care as this place is brilliant, all the staff I have interacted with have been friendly, caring and incredibly professional!”

“I love this boutique! It is such a calm and relaxing environment to be in and when you walk through the door you are greeted by a wave of soft music and amazing aromatherapy smells. I had a facial with Lucy and I felt so taken care off as she catered to my skin needs and went the extra mile by including a small arm chest and hand massage which made me feel so comfortable. I will be coming back as it was a great experience a would recommend to everyone.”

“This is my go to place for haircuts. Steve always cuts my hair and beard to how I want it, and for an extremely reasonable price! Brilliant attention to detail, and best of all be doesn't jab the clippers at my head. In my opinion no other barber or hairdresser comes close. Keep it up!”

“It's great to see the place revived after the peak of the Coronavirus pandemic. That being said, you'll need to either book in advance on their website or wait in line for a free space to get your hair cut. Apart from that, you can still expect great service and hair cuts as before.”

From our first appointment he came across friendly and professional (and continues to do so at every appointment). I am asked what kind of hairstyle I want and he gives me his input on what he thinks would look good. Max’s best attribute is that he takes his time and really appreciates the work he does. Truly talented barber and works well with his peers!”

My daughter started early this year and as first-time parents, finding a friendly, welcoming nursery was most important for us and thats exactly what we found at Little Haven School.The teachers are kind, warm and very approachable. My daughter has learnt so much already. She really enjoys the arts & crafts and always comes out with a smile. Highly recommended!”

“My daughter spent two wonderful years at Beeches with Sharon and the team 2017/2019. She learned so much in this time, little things like how to put on her coat, important things like early years writing skills and she made so many things (which we have kept) cooking classes were great, also class sports days were always fun. The school was always clean and tidy, staff were very caring and dependable. I was very sad to see her leave for pre school. I absolutely would recommend Beeches and want to say thank you to Sharon for turning my little toddler into the superstar she is today .. Claire G”

“What a fantastic nursery!!! After being let down by another nursery, I was quite apprehensive about finding another that I would feel at peace with my child attending. I came across Shapes and from the first phone call the ladies were outstanding and put me ( first time mum, returning back to work) at ease. I had a viewing at the nursery and the deputy manager was waiting for us by the door and welcomed us with open arms, which was really nice and left a great first impression with hubby! My child was allowed to play whilst we toured the nursery and instantly I had that feeling that Shapes was going to be the place. All the staff members said hello to us, or even acknowledged us with a smile and when we came back to our child he didn’t want to leave!! (Lots of bribing that he will come back and play) Communication with the nursery is great, and at every pick up they provide you with a breakdown of your child’s day and how they have done. They do well to help encourage your child with their milestones (using the toilet, counting, ABC’s etc) and my child is truly excited to attend nursery. Every quarter you receive newsletters, there are notices are on the doors, and the managers have an open door policy so you can say hello or pop in for a quick word at any time. They have a interactive Facebook page and most rooms have a WhatsApp group with the parents where you can all chit- chat! You will receive emails as and when there are important notices providing this information. The staff members are truly outstanding and I really do feel safe leaving my child with them all day, they truly care for all children and treat them fairly. They asked at our pre meeting whether we minded if they hugged your child or consoled them if they were upset and of course you instantly say yes please!!! As the thought of them being upset and as you won’t be there to console ran through my mind, that question really put my mind at ease that they will do their best with him. The nursery holds parents evenings, in summer there are get together for the parents (without the children), at Christmas there’s usually a mulled wine and mince pies parents evening for those who enjoy that! The kids do not go offsite, however the facilities i.e a dedicated soft play room, and planned activities are really great and I have seen my child’s imagination truly grow since attending Shapes. Although my child has moved up rooms twice now, all of his old room teachers if passing will ask how he is doing or say good morning to him and take a real interest and leaving your child somewhere for the whole day, you want your child to not be another number but be noticed and loved and he truly gets that from Shapes! I cannot thank all the staff at Shapes for making this experience for my husband and I, an amazing experience. And although we have moved further out we still make the journey to Shapes because of the great experience we have had. Keep doing an amazing job and most definitely check out Shapes Day Nursery because it is truly a fantastic place!!”

“Onside football training has grown a lot since it started. Now weekly and with mini teams that play monthly match days. The coaching staff are inclusive of all abilities and welcome new members into coaching exercises. Using the most of Stanley Park high schools cavernous sports hall and outdoor Muga, onside is able to bring coaching to a wider range of ages. Onside is a charity that helps grass roots foot in the UK and in some developing countries. Most of the training is free, or if part of the weekly team set up there is a small monthly fee. Either way they want to make it as accessable to all of the community. More information is on their website, so if you are interested in coming or donating check it out.”
