“I moved to Waddon in the October of 2021. Being from the West Midlands, I loved going to the cafe with my dad when I was younger and always said that the local cafe in Birmingham would never be topped. That is until I discovered the Waddon Café. 5 stars isn’t enough for the quality of this place. Great people, great food and GREAT PRICES! (The best traditional English breakfast in London if you ask me). Can’t recommend this place enough. To the people of Waddon Café, Thankyou!”

“An absolutely wonderful lunch. The choice of menu is fabulous and the members of staff answered all our questions about the souse , chicken we were ordering. Our starters, mains, sides and rice were beautifully presented and the flavours complimented each other The interior of the restaurant is well laid out and tables spaced out so you can talk and not feel overcrowded. The bar area is lovely and a great place to enjoy a cocktail or drinks. All the staff were very polite and helpful. “Came to this restaurant with my daughter for the first time, the food was delicious especially the lamb bhuna and the coconut rice. The prawn puri for starter was the best I had tasted. Big portions and very tasty food. Staff were very nice and the restaurant was lovely clean and calm. Very reasonably priced and even offered a complimentary shot of baileys. All customers appeared to be regulars in there. Would definitely go there again. Thank you for a lovely evening.”

“Fantastic cod'n'chips. I always ask for the fish to be skinned - I find the batter sticks better that way. Also ask for a box rather than having the fish wrapped - stays more crispy. Staff really friendly. Only consider recent reviews over recent weeks - the site was previously occupied by Bell's which really went downhill. Some of the reviews refer to Bell's. These people are new: they've refitted the place and have a completely different attitude. Also a 5* hygiene rating too - which from my observation is well deserved. The place is really clean. Good luck to The Fish Bar, they really deserve to do well. EDIT July 2020: My original review was a few months ago. Update: Still as good as ever and reopened after a short corona shut down. EDIT Dec 2021: Was a bit worried after a change of hands, but still as good as ever. Really think they deserve more support from local people.”

Our food choices included starters of garlic bread & potato skins. Mains of cheeseburger & fries, pepperoni pizza & hot dog & fries. Desserts were chocolate brownie with cream & ice cream. “So we’re sat in the market tavern, a little hungry and they’ve closed their kitchen and all I can see is La Ugo, I say to missus watch if you see anyone go in or out of the place as that’s usually a sign of a good place. Anyways we didn’t but hungry so we cut our losses and went there. Oh my god, I don’t ever want to go anywhere else! This is the one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had!!! The staff were ridiculously friendly and accommodating and the pizza was so tasty! Just ignore their printing issue they will do you any pizza! I wish I could give them more than 5 stars!”
