“my local hero chinese. ruby house has delivered for me time and time again. the staple dishes are all there, but it's the meat-free specials that make ruby house so special! under most of their dishes you have the option for: chicken, prawn, veg - but then also mock duck and mock chicken! i love the mock duck - which i get salt and chilli style. the order pictured is: chilli salt mock duck chilli salt chips plain chow mein barbecue sauce super friendly staff & cash only if you're paying at the store!”

A coop you think. Nae, this is no coop, this is “Welcome!”. Incidentally, it is in fact a coop for all intents and purposes, just (for what I assume is franchising reasons) it is branded as “welcome” And welcome you most certainly are once you step inside. Legend has it there used to be two doors, but in these times of pandemic, only one remains Find aisles of all things imaginable (mostly) stacked full. Find strange prices like £1.68 for goods that normally cost a round £1.50 because they have obviously just decided to hike prices by a uniform percentage. Marvel at the random assortment of reduced items by the tills. See a weird abandoned pizza oven thing in the corner (that once used to be a takeaway within the store (have you ever seen a pizza takeaway in a coop!!?!)) Be greeted by the polite, but not-exactly-chatty staff. Welcome Prebend street, i should hate you, and yet... I don’t, I love thee.”

“Pit stop and we were so pleasantly surprised. Lovely staff, ever so polite, patient and attentive with everyone that was there at the restaurant that evening. Absolutely loved the food; such good quality, very tasty and good size portions. Also, the food came hot and ready to eat, very happy about that (as I love my food hot)!! I would totally recommend this place if you are passing by. The reviews are not 100% making this place justice. The only thing I would have to say is that they are a little pricey compared to many places in and around London area.”
