WaterWorks Centre Nature Reserve & Middlesex Filter Beds
● OpenLammas Road, London E10 7QB, United Kingdom“I visited this place by pure chance. First on a raining day in November and then again in December. It was stunning and cannot imagine what it will look like during the sunny months. Full of history where you can learn about the environment and the local area. Such a lovely place to be. To bring children or for a quiet walk by yourself. It's not too big and easy to walk around.”

Carshalton Water Tower & Historic Garden Trust
● Open“Fascinating slice of history, you can explore the suite of entertaining rooms, including the orangery, saloon, pump room and plunge bath. The garden space surrounding the building features an impressive hermitage grotto and "sham bridge", either end of what was originally a boating pond at the Western springhead of the River Wandle. The Water Tower is a unique Grade II listed early 18th century garden building sited in the grounds of Carshalton House in South London, built when the area was in the Surrey countryside, full of large houses owned by wealthy families. "As the name suggests, this contained a water-powered pump, which supplied water to Carshalton House and the fountains in its garden. However, the building was and is much more than this as it contains a suite of rooms such as the Saloon, the Orangery and a splendid early 18th century bathroom with a tile lined plunge bath. Aside from the Water Tower, there is the surrounding garden including the Hermitage and Folly Bridge. All this is managed voluntarily by the Friends of Water Tower & The Historic Garden Trust."”

Gurkha's Inn
● Open“I have tried Gurkha's Inn for dinning and a takeaway from a delivery app and I can say this is definitely a gem of Greenwich. For takeaway ordered their mixed biriyani and a green-minty chicken curry and the taste was phenomenal. Even the dips and the small vegetable curry that came with the biriyani was tasty. The food is absolutely delicious and not once have I had a poor experience in taste. A truly memorable place simply by taste alone and I'd recommend it to anyone.”

Yip Oriental Store.
● Closed361 New Cross Road, London SE14 6AT, United Kingdom“Staff (family) is extremely friendly and will go out of their way to explain what the items are and how you can use/cook/eat them. The prices are cheap and/or reasonable. I like to buy firm tofu here as it is tastier then the one on the supermarkets (it's fresher as well) and slightly cheaper. Also if you never tried fresh, yes fresh soya milk you need to come to this store.”

Chokhi Dhani
● Closed“First time visit to Choki Dhani and I was pleasantly surprised. Maybe I was too hungry, just nostalgic, or most probably the food was delicious, that I finished everything what I got and ordered myself a dessert too. Prices were steep but service was impeccable, servers were attentive. There was a service charge which was implied on the final bill but that was clearly articulated on the menu. A must try, if you’re in London and crave authentic Indian Gujarati food!”
